Yamaha RX100 was the go-to bike for two-wheeler enthusiasts back in the 80’s and early-90s. Back then, the Yamaha RX100 not only set a benchmark for two-stroke motorcycles but also single-handedly changed people’s perspective towards motorcycling.
The Yamaha RX100 was launched in November 1985 and the company kept manufacturing it until March 1996. The government’s decision to pull the plug on all two-stroke motorcycles ended of the Yamaha RX100's reign in India. But the success story carries on even today
The RX100 was the result of Yamaha going back to the drawing room after the RD350 failed to light up the market. But even Yamaha couldn’t have anticipated the outcome of their radical approach, making the Yamaha RX100 the legend it is today. The best example of this is that enthusiasts are still willing to handover hefty amounts of money in order to own a well-maintained example of the RX100.

1. reason behind applying oil on air filter is it traps fine particles from going inside engine. in every service we wash it with petrol and then reapply oil(as shown in the video)
2. chassis and engine painting will be done together later this year most probably and reason is that its too expensive. my estimation is 30k to 40k.

My first observation of your bike engine is totally leak due to which oil level is drop and this leakage is lower side of engine..So take of oli level always..

I also have Rx 100 1987 model MVA series number .I have compelted same work in pune & replaced all parts of engine in 2018 with help my regular mechanic like chotu bhai..And sound is good and running fine

I know what is feels like to hear that OG rx100 beat after a long time,
my rx100 also took round 3 months for complete restoration and after that those first 1000km which feels like forever but it passes soon.
my bike completed its 1000km yesterday,
