Today I'm sharing a brand new homemaking & speed clean with me style video - I'm bringing you along with me as I clean out our fridge & organize it for the new year, as well as do some healthy food prep to set us up for success in the new year! I'm also picking paint colors so we can get our house painted & also adding in a new rug into our home office! HI! Oh My Gosh! Right before Thanksgiving we painted our kitchen with Evergreen fog!! I LOVE it and got so many compliments from family over the holidays! My vote is for No accent wall, just do everything bright and white, because as you said the house is definitely has a lack of light; and it will be easier to see later if you even need an accent wall. But decision is yours of course 😀; I actually like accent walls with a wooden panels 🌼🌺🌸
Love the turn out for the fridge that’s something I put off at times 😳 love the new colours for the house it will look beautiful and bring lots of light to the house too 😊

100% go with the green for the accent wall, that’s an absolutely beautiful color. It’s neutral enough that it will complement almost everything around it. It will also look AMAZING with the pale oak color!
Thanks girl! So happy you like it too!! Since we were sick this last week, the painters postponed until the first week of February (which I totally understand, but bummed lol) it gives us more time to decide for sure, but I think those are the ones we will end up with! I like them a lot😍

Hi Amanda i am constantly decluttering our fridge. Your fridge is massive. I love the motivation and the organisation aswell. For your living area i like the lighter colour because it just brightens the whole room and it will definitely make the room look spacious and inviting

I love the colors. The oak and the evergreen are going to be amazing g together. I love the idea of the continuous wall between the two offices and I'd make the wall between the kitchen and the living room as your accent wall. It would break it up and it would be amazing. I can't wait to see the transformation.

I think a great color for an accent wall would be Navy blue or a mossy green or maybe even wallpaper!
I love the green for accent in the offices but would keep the living room walls the same to keep it light and bright and prevent it from feeling chopped up

As much as I took a lot from your motivation video, one thing at the end was when you said I hope you enjoyed company today - I did! I had the day off and my daughter was in school, and yes I enjoyed my alone time but also I enjoyed your company sitting and watching (while folding laundry 🧐 never ends right). Thanks!! I spent the last 2 days cleaning out every single cabinet and drawer in our kitchen, entire pantry, and refrigerator…. And then watched your new video. It is so much more functional after purging and organizing. It mirrors how we live so much more now.

I love the green color for the accent walls in the offices. I would vote to keep the entire living room one color or if you’re really wanting to add some color to paint the cabinets or the wall behind the shelves!
I would either do the wall behind the couch or make the entire fireplace wall an accent wall by painting the niches that are above the fireplace. 😊

Hi Amanda! I like the paint color! I’m not so sure about an accent wall though….I’m no interior designer but I’m just not feeling it. One color throughout with the home accents you have all over is what I would choose.
Kyle's rug is great!! I always read that the wall of color should be the first wall you see when walking in a room. I think your bookshelves wall should be a pop of color. Love the new color you picked also. So fun doin all these changes. The fridge turned out phenomenal. You go girl!❤🙏🏼

I find if I roll the edges of the rug that are sticking up on the end the opposite direction once it’s in place they will lay down pretty good. 😊
Amanda, been a while since I visited your page. Love the coffee table and the tall lamp. Regarding an accent wall in your great room, I wouldn’t do one. With the kitchen right behind I would consider painting an accent color in there instead. Saw the evergreen fog and that would definitely be nice With white cabinets and your plans to replace the countertops with a lighter granite or quartz that color would look very nice and provide an accent to the great room. Are you planning to hang any wall art in the panels above the opening to the kitchen? That would also provide an excellent opportunity for you to showcase an accent color. Anyway just some ideas. I’m sure you guys will make the best choice for your family.

I hope you’re feeling better! I know you were very sick right after the holidays. The fridge looks so good. Definitely motivational. And like you said, every small thing that you can do that’s good adds up. So instead of trying to rehab you’re entire lifestyle, and diet….adding some healthy elements is a win for sure! Take care. I say the back wall behind couch facing the fireplace for the accent wall in living room! As far as the accent wall color in the offices maybe mineral deposit by sherwin Williams! It’s a gorgeous blue!

I just did my fridge too! And today, I cleaned under the kitchen sink because we are getting a new kitchen faucet. Tomorrow mopping and reinstalling my living room curtains after my sister hemmed them.

Hi Amanda, I don’t think you need to do an accent wall in your living area. It’s an interesting enough space just as it is. Let the light play on the corners and be the hero in that room.

If you do pale oak you will need to paint all those built ins a nice bright white. Pale oak does not go with the cream colored shelving.

Definitely accent walls in the offices! But my personal opinion is to leave the living room area all one color! I think it would look better without an accent wall color. 💖

Hi Amanda. Was so excited for your video today! I totally relate to you with the fridge...i just did mine a couple of days ago. In South Africa thigs like organization products are so expensive so the only organizer i have is for my eggs. My favourite juice is from my diet that i follow and its a vitamin C smoothie and delicious! 1 Orange, 1 tomato and a handfull of frozen strawberries. I do add a sweetner as Its a sugar and fat free diet designed for diabetics and heart patients. Oh and some ice which would be your water portion. Its my favourite Nd gives me so much energy and of course keeps me super healthy as I have many chronic conditions. I hope you give it a go and enjoy it as much as i do. If I were you, with such a large home and such tall ceilings and cutouts, I would consult a painting architect, if that's a word. Anyway, they usually have them where you buy good paint. They are very helpful.
That’s so smart you left your produce in the fridge without taking them out right away now with covid upon us you want to make sure you wash even the containers because you don’t know who touched it last at the grocery store FYI I put a little bleach and dish soap in the water and then with a rag wipe everything off
I hope this too helps as we don’t want our families to get sick from covid

I like that paint color. I would do a accent wall over by your kitchen table. . I like that green super cute. Here at my house we basically just moved in last month and all the walls are dark grey as well. Just feels so dark. I'm kinda wanting albaster but I'm going to keep looking.

I like the wall separating the kitchen and living room would look great for an accent wall. With your decor, I'd do a dark slate color or look at the color Cracked Pepper by Behr.

I love the pale oak but I wonder if it will make the room too washed out with the light fireplace wall. It's hard to tell on camera. Maybe something in a deeper tan color.
Have you ever thought of putting wood shelves around the fireplace instead of glass? That could give it more dimension.
My fridge died new years weekend. There are 5 of us in the house so it is always packed. I'm actually loving the emptiness of it right now.
Bummer about the fridge dying! That’s always a headache.
