Hi Mark. Enjoyed the chat. Bad experiences myself. Doctors speculate and get money from pharmaceutical companies. Everyone should do their own research and they are the best judge of their own bodies. I would question any authority they can't be trusted to act in your best interest there is usually a different agenda.

In the UK Drs don't get money from pharmaceutical companies to promote drugs. Maybe in the US they do but not the UK.

Great walk and talk. Agree with all you’ve had to say today. Was told I had had 7 heart attacks then put on a regime of meds by a cardiologist. Fast forward 1 1/2 years, think I’m having ‘another heart attack’ and my husband gives me a burst of nitro spray. It nearly killed me, damnest experience of my live. When he told me he’d give me more in 5 minutes I was ‘hell no’. Off to emergency, spent the night hooked up to the machines, one was beeping constantly and the nurse said ‘let’s unplug that noises thing’. By the time tests and enzymes came back in the morning the doctor told me there was nothing wrong with my heart, go home fire your cardio and get a new one. 6 months later after bi-weekly tests I was told I had the heart of a runner, I’m 60 at that point, throw away the drugs. Have never looked back on mine and the families health since. Don’t trust the system at all.
And yes the pharmacist told us to keep the tests up as they could kill a dog. No thank you I don’t need that up my nose then 🤦🏼‍♀🙇🏼‍♀ Cheers to a wonderful week for you.

Well, we all need to question things. And there does need to be a system in place. And no system will be perfect, so we need to accommodate that fact. And lastly...what's the alternative?
It seems to be a "damned if I do, damned if I don’t" scenario.

Marc, i am a retired nurse after 40 + years working in the hospital system. I have experience of some appalling, and of some excellent doctors. I am sorry that you have had the experiences you have had. Many people have anxiety or embarrassment when facing the doctor, and fail to put forward what their problem is, and many doctors are under pressure, and in the 15 minutes they have with you, they have to identify your problem and treat it to your satisfaction. No one is more aware of this than the good doctor. You are correct,be responsible, write down your questions before visiting the doctor, and make sure that they answer every question. However, dont stay home and ignore your problems if it doesnt improve with your treatments, it might mean life or death.

I believe that since 2020 we have had to leave our naivety behind. Make our own decisions, question things ourselves and not fall for the advertising of the food industry and the pharmaceutical monopolies. Whether it is food organizations, heart associations or diabetes org or certain foundations, all are financed by the largest food and pharmaceutical companies. Donations to mainstream media from a Mr. B.G. included. Unfortunately, this is also the case with many studies. Manipulation is everything. Unfortunately, there is no pill for it.

I went to my doctor who examined me, one week later I was sent to the hospital for tests, I had bowel cancer. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy given successfully . That was 2010 so thank God for my GP. Ask questions and ask again. Its your health! In the UK medications have to be prescribed by the generic name which is cheaper.

Yup growing up with my officer father who'd spent 13years I army and second world war..constantly being sick...at the age of 70yrs admitted to hospital insisting he had cancer..they wouldnt listen when i told them it was his stomach...he died from abdominal aortic aneurism...when my mother was dieing of bowl cancer I had to point out to the nurse and doctor her stomach was swollen...they hadn't noticed. This time after my husband passed, the time he was under the doctor a hospital they listened that is the first time in 30years.

I agree with all you said.
I, too, have had more than one reason to mistrust medical diagnosis .....but too lengthy for here.
Before cv I remember having read that a jab was produced quite swiftly when swine flu was 'discovered'. However, some people suffered narcolepsy as a side effect of being treated with it and sued the manufacturers. When we were told that the cv one was being worked on and would be ready in only a few weeks, but that the producers would be immune from litigation in the event of side effects, I was immediately sceptical.
My family and I all had the virus symptoms in the Jan/Feb of 2020, and so realised that we didn't need the 💉 but, as you can imagine, tolerated ongoing critisism and nagging for months afterwards
From March 2020 onwards, I read and researched views that proffered alternative opinions to the MSM/government narrative... Judy Micovits, Mike Yeadon, and others, and read The Great Barrington Declaration.
Lockdown helped enormously in providing the time for that!! 😆
I guess we both might garner a bit of flack for our comments... but, c'est la vie!
    Best wishes, Jenny N.

Like you, I am sceptical and I really hate going to the doctor. However, I have a good doctor who never pushes drugs onto me. She is young and conscientious and I think gets that I am not keen to use any medication and respects that. I know it is difficult to get a doctor in rural France (I also live in rural France) but it is worth trying. You might just get some good advice from them. You can choose whether you take it or not. Even just having some tests might help. Ask the people you know who their doctor is. It is worth finding out before your health problems get so bad that you end up back in urgences where you don't get a choice of who treats you.

An interesting episode Marc. Yes, I have in answer to one of your questions. It seems everyone in UK goes through like a wellness thing when you are 65 ish. Well there is this thing ( questionaire) that they call QRisk that they ask you the questions and this gives you a score. Anything above 10% risk and they push a statin at you. Now you have to be a nun to have less than 10%. I didn't want to take them, but was offered the 20mg dose, and did due to the way it was put to me. After just a few weeks i was experiencing muscle issues, and maybe more. I stopped them after 2.5 months, some of the muscle issue stopped immediately ( i felt better after 4 days than i had in 3 months), other muscle issues took 2 more months to resolve. I found out one of my brother-in-laws had started taking them, and come off them of own accord due to muscle issues. I researched and found out they manipulated the % of side effects big time.

So I never eat boiled, chewy sweet any more ha ha.

Omg dint get me started on bad doctors lol,oh well OK. I'll do a very short version, when I was 21,I had a bad fall from a horse( I worked in a racing yard) I wad basically caterpolted into the drowned,I went to doctors few days later,as I was In a lot of pain and couldn't move my neck. He said.youve just pulled some muscles etc come back in.a couple of weeks time if no better. Which I did,so 3 weeks or so later I gad some trays, which they said werd fine. Well I ended up having to leave my job,I was in so much pain, but despite going to gp regularly, plus pain clinics( ye there fun) 4 different consultation, they just treated the symptoms not the problem. Well it took 6 years and it was only because at this point I was dropping my baby, due to now weakness in my arms,) that a female consultant thought I should have some more trays,as I'd had none since the original ones 6 years previous. Well 2 months later I was having major surgery on a very bad neck. I've now had 7 operations ,I have a bone graft a titanium disc, and a metal plate, countless injection and other treatments. Now it doesn't end there, not only did my GP and order consultants not do there job properly, when I was having my 3 opp ,I had all the young doctors around me,while my consultant came round, and he explained to them.looking at my trays how in his words" as you can see from the xrsy taken.3 weeks after accident, the the fracture, and how it's determined over time", . Yes I had a fracture which was not picked up right back 6 years earlier, so you can imagine my shock. This incident really did and has shaped my life. Then in 2010 I had a car crash, whilst in hospital, I started having heart problems, my heart rate was going continuously going dangerously high, and they xould work out why. Well.due to my neck problems I have been on morphine, which I became allergic to ,sonim in hospital with the red band on your wrist( to show you have an allergy) and they decided to start me on intravenous morphine, well that was the cause of the heart rate, I had a drip in one arm giving me something to try and bring it down, whilst in the other arm the bloody morphine that was causing it. I was in no state to know what was going on,but it was a young newly qualified nurse that questioned what I wad allergic to ,when I told her I sae the horror on her face, she went off and within 5 minutes the drips were stopped ,and yes so did the fact heart rate. So I've not got to much confidence in the either. But touch wood I'm fit and well ( most days) and still able to.walk garden and look after my horses with help. Yes I've also had problems with withdrawal symptoms, they were also pain killers. Much.love from a very wet Kent ❤

It’s a good idea to check your meds on line before taking. It says all you suffered on tramadol. It says take no more than 5 weeks or you will become addicted. In one episode of House. The doctor says he would never prescribe such a dangerous medication. Actually nearly every pill has a side effect. I think a nutritionist is a good idea . They may pick up something you’ve missed. You don’t want to stop taking an essential. Nutritionists don’t wear suits 😂
