I'd say that's fair Jardar. There was a time when if someone needed a website, they had to hire a developer to create it. That process has now been simplified (with a great deal of time, design, and coding) to the point that same person needing a website can now just build it themselves (with WordPress for example). I love that ServiceNow is taking that paradigm to the corporation. If a business person (the real revenue producers) need some IT-service to support their business process, how awesome would it be if IT processes could be packaged up in a way that would allow that business person to create the IT solution themselves!
@@ServiceNowSimple there's still a lot of integration work needed, and other implementation. Some changes to the infrastructure will require more of that work to be done. There's also being able to understand the infrastructure you're managing properly which will frequently require a deeper understanding than a higher level business perspective. For smaller solutions this may work reasonably well, once implemented, for the business users, but for a large solution set I think that can get very challenging very fast. There's something to be said for experience and simply having the time to focus on something more specific.
If interested, you can join the developer program and get a Personal Developer Instance (PDI) which you can use to learn more. I have a video on how to obtain one on the channel.

You might want to consider renaming your video to 'What is ServiceNow Company?' instead of just 'What is ServiceNow?'. Many viewers are looking for an explanation of the ServiceNow platform and how it addresses real-life problems, rather than just information about the company itself. The current content didn’t fully meet their expectations. A title change could help clarify what the video offers.
Hey @nvasanthi4620, thanks for the feedback. Did you watch the entire video? The beginning does start with some high-level company information, but I do attempt to answer the question from the perspective of the platform and what problem it solves. Thanks!

Basically it's a way to keep track of requirements without having to interact with the IT people?.. I don't understand why this exists.. Is it because email is messy?.. weird Business people can't solve IT problems. If they could, they would have become IT people..
Hey Reuben, thanks for your feedback. Here's how I see this. For most companies, IT is an expense. The IT department doesn't bring in revenue. The revenue comes from the business folks, and the value of IT comes from enabling them to be more effective and productive. ServiceNow's goal is to make the delivery of IT services to the business folks as simple as possible. Maybe even so simple, that the business folks can do it all themselves? That's the goal. Let me know your thoughts! It's a good topic of discussion...
@@ServiceNowSimpleThat is like saying that the only thing that makes money in a company is the company creator because without him/her the company would have never existed 😂😂😂
I get your frustration. I think it's because ServiceNow does so many things, but here's my definition in a nutshell. ServiceNow is a software company based in Santa Clara, California, founded by Fred Luddy in 2003, to solve problems large enterprises face with traditional IT delivery by providing a robust, simple to use, cloud-based environment in which businesspeople can solve the business problems themselves. Even simpler, ServiceNow can be thought of as your IT Department, in the cloud.
I've published a new video that looks at defining what ServiceNow is and does from more of a hands-on, demonstration perspective. The name of my channel is ServiceNowSimple and the video is titled ServiceNow Demonstration. I hope it's helpful!
When you say IT is necessary evil, you ignore majority of Tech companies which are there because of IT. What's Apple? IT or Tech is at the core. People who don't understand tech, should not blabber ...
Apple is a great example of a company that actually generates revenue directly from IT products. Some companies definitely do that, but not most. Even at Apple though, what % of their IT department and expense do you think work directly toward those things vs supporting the business?

I guess I need to see it work or how it works
If interested, you can join the developer program and get a Personal Developer Instance (PDI) which you can use to learn more. I have a video on how to obtain one on the channel.
I've added a new video that's maybe more what you were looking for on what ServiceNow does and how it works. It's titled ServiceNow Demonstration and is a more hands-on attempt at explaining it. I hope it helps!
Just want to point out that a full 4 minutes into telling us how you keep it simple, and how that's what you do, and how that's what you do. Simple, simple, simple. Plus a poem, and SNL skit and just about everything you can think of --- sort of answering the question that YOU put up as the topic of the video.
Point taken. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I can try and help.
Until you worked with, or implemented one, there is no truly understanding of it.
Yeah, it's difficult to watch a video or take a training course and really understand fully. Thanks for watching the video though.
Nice video!
Thanks Michael!
You left off the seventh, who?, what?, when?, where?, why?, how?, and how much?
Haha.. Good point Anthony! I honestly don’t know much about the contracts or pricing. I’ll dig into that because it is super important.
Too much theory very little to no illustrations or concrete cases….. It’s like you are reading from a book .
Hey NAC, I appreciate the feedback. I think my goal for this video specifically was a high-level overview of ServiceNow for people that maybe saw a commercial or heard it mentioned someplace. I have vids on other topics that dig deeper and are more demo oriented. If you have a few mins sometime, take a look and let me know your thoughts. I’m always looking for perspectives on how to improve the content. Thanks!
NAC, I've published a new video that might come closer to hitting the mark for you. My UA-cam channel is named ServiceNowSimple and the video is titled ServiceNow Demonstration. I hope it helps.
So many words talking about nothing in the actual product.
Sorry I missed the mark. Let me know more specifically what you were looking for and I'll try and help.
Too much unnecessary information.
Got it. Thanks for the feedback!
I was hoping to at least get to see what it looked like. Maybe too informative and in the wrong direction...
Thanks for the feedback. I've had several provide the same feedback and I'm currently working on a new video that answers the same questions, but via a live demonstration within the platform and UI.
make developer course and thousands of indian who r now trying to master servicenow will make it relevant for atleast two year ... make developer and admin training of servicenow .... and make problem solving small videos here n there as well ....
great explaination ... im a indian and im gonna join a firm that work on servicenow and at 6 apr 2022 ... and i wanna learn servicenow from tutorial ....
i want a presice and topic based tutorial along with great practical projects .... please make it and fullfill a industry demand
Thanks for the note SumuraiWolf! I’ll look into a series of videos on SN Development and Admin. I also need to complete my Fundamentals series. I like your ideas.. keep them coming!😊
Thanks!
Digital business infrastructure.
Hey Nicholas, I like it!
Sorry I am an IT guy and still not sure how this will work it sounds like magic and I don't like magic computers you still need to connect things
Definitely no magic here.. Your comment reflects why I started this channel. I don't like glossing over things and really want to demystify IT. I can improve this. Thanks for your feedback. I'm going to start working on a clearer explanation.
I have to interview someone for a service now position and came to this video to figure out what service now is... IT DID NOT HELP. Do better. Less fluff, more substance please...
Sorry to hear the video wasn't helpful.
W explanation
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback and for being part of the channel. Just FYI, I've recently published a full ServiceNow Fundamentals course that can be found at www.servicenowsimple.com. It includes 15 lessons with downloadable study notes and sample cert test questions. Please share with others that might find useful!
Sorry but I'll be honest : I find this presentation useless, I would have preferred to see the actual interface, not slides.
Basically it's a way to keep track of requirements without having to interact with the IT people?..
I don't understand why this exists..
Is it because email is messy?.. weird
Business people can't solve IT problems.
Bloody hell, why can no one just tell me immediately what the hell it is without all the stupid history crap!
@@ServiceNowSimple the very last one is perfect, I got it!
@@technicalboy1816 really because they said that in the video and im still confused. need to see a demo or something
I've published a new video that looks at defining what ServiceNow is and does from more of a hands-on, demonstration perspective. The name of my channel is ServiceNowSimple and the video is titled ServiceNow Demonstration. I hope it's helpful!
Literally doesn’t explain it at all.
Video still doesn't explain anything
Sorry to hear that I missed the mark. Shoot me some specifics on your question and I'd be happy to see if I can help out. Thanks for your feedback!
Hi sir
wasted 10 mins of my life learning literally nothing of a value what servicenow is and what can it actually offer in real world (that other existing cloud platforms cannot). typical bullshit powerpoint presentation everyone falls asleep to.
Sorry I missed the mark with you. Let me know if you have a specific question and I can try and help. Thanks for watching though and for your feedback!
No one knows what this product does. Lol
Yeah, it’s not easy to define because the scope can be so large.
This is brutal
Ouch! Let me know how and why. I can learn from your thoughts.
You sound like Joe Rogan.
LOL.. that's awesome! I've not heard that. I wish I had his paycheck!!
effective.
Thx!
Some people aren't getting it, It's because they lack basic IT or Cloud Computing related knowledges.Stop blaming the presenter, I understood just fine.
Thanks @jahidem! It's hard to meet the mark on the right level of detail for everyone. Just FYI, I've recently published a full ServiceNow Fundamentals course that can be found at www.servicenowsimple.com. It includes 15 lessons with downloadable study notes and sample cert test questions. Please share with others that might find useful!
