    I worked for a large aviation company in Washington state, not Boeing, and I had an impeccable reputation. Lots of awards and praise. I even met the love of my life there. The company got a new CEO who decided that partners couldn’t work in the same department, so I took a position in the training department. I admit I was a bit overweight due to medications I had to take for my health, I’m underweight now. The amount of bullying that started was unbelievable. The young “pretty” girl was never bullied, because she flirted with all of the guys in the department and flaunted her “assets” towards them. My health started being affected by all of the bullying and I was eventually laid off, even though I had seniority over the sexy young girl. I repeatedly went to HR regarding the bullying, and was told to suck it up. It was ridiculous. I really loved working for that company, until the stupid CEO made the decision that put me into such a toxic department. Sometimes life and work just isn’t fair. Never listen to a boss who tells you to flaunt your assets, you’re only demeaning yourself.

      You are absolutely right. Flirting and flaunting yourself is You are humiliating and underestimating yourself. That type of behaviour gives the msg that you will stoop to any level to get what you want. That is NOT ethical . Everybody should have safe and happy working environment be it the janitor or the CEO. Flaunting and flirting gives the impression that you are cheap and demeaning yourself. It is a disgrace to yourself , your parents and even your school.

      Were you able to sue the company and get unemployment benefits and get the boss fired

    • @freedomlindsay3084
      @freedomlindsay3084 2 місяці тому

      @@deborahhodge9376 because it was a layoff I did get unemployment benefits, and because I’d been with the company for 10+ years I did get a severance package, but I still had to stop working at a company I had loved for years. About 6 months after I left the manager of the department was fired for gross incompetence, and his buddies who had bullied me were demoted and removed from the department because the favoritism was finally exposed by a man in that department who was also being bullied by the same group of guys. The department manager was fired with no severance or unemployment benefits because of his incompetence, and his lackeys had to go back to turning wrenches to make a living. The bullies underestimated the fact that I had hundreds of loyal friends at the company who raised a huge stink about me being laid off. They all knew about the bullying. So in the end, justice was served.

      All you did in your comment was complain about everyone around you and brag about all the awards you won. Don't you think perhaps your behavior might have added to the problem? I bet your anger was more obvious than you realize. Interesting, just the way you said "I admit I was a bit overweight due to meds..." Typical, blame everything but yourself, and why did you state so sheepishly that you were overweight, nothing you needed to "be forced to admit" if it was a fact. I have no doubt that some people were unfair to you (looks discrimination is very real and everybody does it a little at some point), but I also have no doubt you are describing a very one-sided picture of the events to make yourself more sympathetic in this comment section. I spent my life working in a field dominated by white men, as a female minority, and have heard everything. I used to get so wound up at many issues that easily painted me as they sympathetic "good guy" or the one who was "discriminated" against. Later when I had time to analyze the situation I thought about what I did to contribute negatively to the situation (and I mean I even went to court over one situation that went all the way up to the third circuit court of appeals where I won my case and ended up costing the other party a fortune when they could have resolved it for much less). Yes there are unfair situations in life, but you have to learn from them and see where you could have behaved better or not overreacted. Some of us are guilty of self-righteous indignation where we are "technically" in the right but that does not mean we couldn't have acted better and helped resolve the issue.

    There really is a fine line when it comes to business competition and interpersonal skills. These skits are a bit over the top in making the "bad" guy look really bad and making the "good" guy overly sympathetic. The real "best" would be to create a more realistic scenario where the racism is not that obvious, or the "snob" attitude is very subtle. That is when most of us would like to see how you "fix" those types of situations. In the real world discrimination is much more subtle, especially these days. We have evolved enough to understand that even good guys do some horrible things, and even bad guys do some kind things. The world has so much "grey areas". I would really be more impressed where you had those subtle scenarios play out!

    Even though it is ACTING... I NEVER enjoy hearing people get disrespected... NOR all of those who are disrespecting always being from a specific "Demographic" --- you just MIGHT be surprised how many times I have been DISRESPECTED by the very people that
    "DEI" claims as the VICTIMS!!! You would never believe how many times that I have been Disrespected by those "Victims"...
    "DEI" by its very nature, puts people of one "Category" as VICTIMS so if ANYBODY, for ANY REASON gets upset with them --- then it HAS TO BE PREJUDICE !! (regardless of if they did something wrong..) So they never actually address their own wrong behavior because it was all because of "DEI" So... if a Hispanic employee is DISRESPECTFUL to ME it is just 'fairness' ... but if I make a polite attempt to correct a Hispanic Employees way of doing a job assignment, then 'I' am just a prejudiced old White Guy!!
    But nothing could be farther from the TRUTH! I have RISKED MY LIFE -- very literally -- to save someone that I only knew was another person in danger... not CARING What they looked like or what language they spoke!! As a Volunteer ParaMedic, I seldom even knew anything about the person I was going to help... until I was kneeling over them, or pulling them out of a wrecked car...
    And as a sales Person, I respected EVERY Client, and worked only to get them What THEY were looking for!

    Also the flight attendants acting is not very professional. They may have to be firm with certain passengers due to unexpected issues , but I'm not 100 percent but 1000percent sure NO flight attendant uses that tone of voic or even facial expression on passengers. It's a huge act that FAILED Miserably. She is a good actress but here she was an utter Failure. I'm surprised that the filming crew didn't realise that she was Overacting.
