@@Mkvine Mormons don’t believe the universe once began to exist by an act of God creating everything (visible and invisible) ex-nihilo. Apparently LDS teaching is that the universe existed eternally as both spiritual matter (intelligence) and natural matter (flesh) and this eternal force gave rise to a spirit body who then evolved to the level of Godhood by some unknown process. This God then somehow took on flesh in another world and gained a physically glorified human body and then was able to give birth to his very own spirit children who existed with him in their pre-mortal life. He created our human world out of some already existing chaotic matter and sent us here to live out or period of mortal life and has promised his children that they will one day not just become “like him” but will literally become another God with the ability to rule our own world and populate it with our own spirit children…. And so on.
