    Renowned actress Emily Blunt delivers her speech after receiving the Freeing Voices, Changing Lives award from the American Institute for Stuttering at their 2009 Benefit Gala. The award is given to people who have achieved great professional success in spite of their stuttering. The award was presented by venerable actor Sam Waterston.

    And I refer to their work as demanding because when you act you have an script that you can't modify. You have to say the exact words in the script. You are also surround by many people. All of them are looking at you, and waiting for you if you commit a mistake. That must be a lot of pressure.

    I would like to know what all this actors have done to achieve this level of fluency. She says that she faked an northern accent but I don't think that anyone should fake neither an accent nor a voice to speak fluently. At least I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that. So I see all this famous people working in the media but really no one tells exactly what their method is/was to speak fluently. Specially working in such demanding environment for a former stutterer.

    @contender60 I am not saying that she is lying. Maybe she had a very mild problem otherwise I don't understand how all this actors can work as actors.
