Its part of the nostalgia. You remember that the person who pranks you with whoopee cussions and loves making puns and is unbearably lazy is the same person who experiences and did everything we know him as.
He's a supportive brother, a loving friend and an awesome character that all of us enjoy. This is still him, but there's something clearly different. A different emotion.. A different side to the happy and hilarious skeleton we love.

A friend told me about Undertale, so I decided to buy a copy on steam.
After a neutral route, as many 1st playthroughs go, I learned about pacifist and genocide routes.
I completed the pacifist, and then the genocide
After that I was like. "Woah. That was a pretty good game."
2 or 3 years or so pass by and I listen to this, now I remember all the memories I had with this game,
and I get obsessed with it again.
I didn't regret those 10 dollars at all. Bought the game on switch and it was as good as always.
Now that my pc was wiped of everything, I don't have Undertale anymore.
I should buy it again. You know what, I WILL buy it again! Stay determined.
I played the game for 104 hours and my review was "very good game. recommend" Can't believe that's all I said LOL

See, this is the part of the fandom that i adore. Not the part that is 8 year olds screaming about why sans can defeat any character he goes up against. The part where we all can agree on something. The part where we all act the same, a non-chaotic, relaxed, and lazy group of people. We all think the same, and we don't argue for hours on end...
But hey, why worry about the other side's existence? Live in the moment, ACT on what you are currently experiencing not what other people are doing. May as well just sit down, relax, and watch the rain fall on a happy, unified, fandom.

You put your phone away in your pocket so you wouldn't lose it, you left your car and once you stepped outside, you felt rain on your face. Tiny little raindrops on your face, the feeling of it gave you a slight nostalgia of your childhood. The good old sicken days where you were just a kid and nothing really mattered, just you and your simple imagination.
Then you realised, this would be the perfect evening after an exhausting day! Walking up close to the bar, you see that it was the same like always, the owner, Frank barely re-newed the place since he liked the old look of old wood and classic windows. It was his place, a bar he took over from his father, it was a place with memories from his grandparents time until now. You understood why he liked it so much, the old oak wood made it like the building was from the 70's along with the spider-web covered window.
You took a deep breath and gazed through the wet window, there they were! You saw your best friend inside already, looks like they got off of work early, maybe even earlier than you had expected. A minute passed and you shook your head, you opened the door and a bell rang, it made a satisfying noise as you entered for everyone to see. "Hello, B/N, Frank and everyone.." The people who gazed at him either returned an hello or a simple nod.
You see your best friend sitting there making small talk with the bartender and the others surrounding it, the door made a satisfying bell sound of opening and closing. You walk in and everybody stares at you, most of them smiled at you. Some of them waved at you and some just kept on drinking and giving a chill glance. The contact here was regular for you, this.. was your home you'd always go to... on weekends of course. A pity but worth it.
"Ah I see, you're here Y/N (your/name). Took you long enough!" Your best friend said, you took a seat next to them and nodded with no response. The bartender gave you a look at what you wanted to order, "Just the usual, thanks." You say, "Say. Y/N (your/name) how come you took this long?" They asked. "Me? Oh haha, work was shit today. I couldn't keep my head stuck at all and even on Fridays like these.."
"Looks like you got it rough there huh? I feel you man, hey Steven hear that? He's lost his head on Fridays like you!"
Steven gave a glare while some beer was rolling down his chin, "Hello? This bar is home for all of us here, just us people sitting here and complaining about our shitty lives.."
Steven wasn't wrong, he was right. Life was shit, and a big ol' mess you can't clean up by yourself. "I agree with him, this is just.. home." You smiled, glancing at your best friend while the bartender was making your favourite drink, It was (favourite drink here).
"Oi, don't bring up this life of us all. We're all here to complain and hear about today's stupidity right?" Your best friend said with a genuine smile, you nodded and liked this atmosphere and the vibe too. "Boys this closes down at 1 am don't forget."
"Frank, can't you just.. make the time longer?" Steven complained, "No Steven! Last time was a disaster, 4 am you all still were here and your close families complained!"
"C'mon Frank, I got this nice vibe now.."
He hesitated for a second but accepted it, the bar closes down at 3am now. What a dream this was, "Say B/N (best friends name) you got this song right?", "OH YEAH I DID! I texted you about it, but I forgot.. whoopsie, now anyways Frank I wanna request a song!"
"Sure, just tell me what it is."

Frank said while handing you your freshly made drink that was delicious when you took some sips from it. The bartender also gave (B/N's best friend's name) the phone that's connected to the speakers, and Bluetooth devices..jeez. They searched for the name of the song and played it, it was.
Relaxing, everybody relaxed that night and the vibe was insanely chill. Like the quietest street on.. earth but this time it was a bar with wonderful people in it and a cool person enjoying the atmosphere. Frank read the title, "It's raining somewhere else.."
And for the rest of the night, everybody had a great time. They all played sorts of games, JENGA, UNO!!, Card games, monopoly etc. Told each other jokes and laughed greatly at old memories. Everybody was enjoying this but.
Y/N was enjoying this the most, the best part of their life was this moment.

I listen to this when I sleep. When I wake up I usually find it still playing so I can see how long I’ve slept, pretty funny actually! I need to sleep more.
Try to limit the amount of time spent in bed throughout your day (f.e eating, texting, etc.). If you only use your bed for sleeping and nothing else, your body will get used to that aswell.
Try to limit screentime (phone, TV and PC alike) about 30 min to an hour before going to bed.
I'm not an expert at any of this, I'm just a stranger hoping my comment might help you out!

@@sketch7933 I once felt like that and had no sleep schedule and making it is hard but this helped me and u don't have to try but when I couldn't sleep I stayed up and my friend was worried so I knew I couldn't stay like that so I stayed up all night and the next day although its unhealthy it only needs one night to stay up then sleep at an normal time it will help u fall asleep faster and you could set an alarm after 2 or 3 days this made me be able to wake at 5 and sleep immediately but I'm not the brightest or smart and its probably unhealthy however I may not be smart however the body is you've propyl herd about people saying wow the body's so impressive it can blah blah blah I did an project on the respiratory system and it was crazy complicate although I summarized it easily and simple to remember it was truly an impressive thing the body can do that most people take for granted your body is way more advanced then any math problem that ill ever be able to make or solve what I'm trying to say is the body is incredible and its like a canvas clean and empty ready to be taught new tricks absorb new knowledge an just have fun with life is precious even if I have a dark humor I would be upset if a innocent died but your body is able to do many things and can be taught to do more if just look at the right places and use your knowledge and your morals to walk down the right path and even if your just talking about a minor sleeping problem I want to give you advice that would be worthy enough to look back on many years later and smile and think about how much you would be different without this idea or knowledge because small changes could change your entire perspective if a smoker knew now that smoking would be as addictive as it was and they knew that before would they actually use the knowledge and throw the pack of sigerets into the bin although I have no room to talk and don't even know if u smoke or even care I would like everyone to see this because its been awhile since I last felt the ability to speak up or just to be seen at all because I think that there are some genius people out there that everyone is smart to their own logic thinking about their own problem and what makes a genius a genius may have a hint of talent he can see others perspectives and understands what he has to do to be able to stay on the pillar of fame they built them self however I'm to harsh to myself to even try to take my own advice some of my teachers always said I could become a philosopher however I just dought my ability I may be gifted in some way but I guess I'm just not confident it may have something to do with siblings though being the youngest with one sibling while I don't get everything there is still a sibling rivalry there that will always stop us from being true friend I remember not believing I would be able to make friends as a child because I am well quite different id say well I had a horrible experience at my first school because I well I have darker hair and eyes and most of them were either brow hair or blond don't get why that mattered though children discust me even if I was one I hate myself because I wasent who I am now with my understanding of the cruel world around us and I just had no confidence which is why I'm telling u this you should have confidence when doing anything it makes it much better to live here kind of like those people in news reports that just ignore robbers to the point where they either leave or ignore you its a annoying system where you have to show strength and confidence to succeed
Not sure if anybody is gonna see this comment, but I wanted to post my overall thoughts.
Toby Fox truly is a musical wizard. It feels as if the intended feeling of his songs always hit with bullseye accuracy. I always listen to this song in particular whenever I begin to feel stressed or have to study for my exams. It just has a calming effect that I can’t really outright describe. I’ve grown up with Undertale since 2015, and it’s influenced who I am and what I personally value the most in life. This series has gotten me through rough times throughout my late middle school years and early high school years, and I don’t know where I’d be without it. To some, this may just seem like a silly game that relies on too many fourth wall breaks or has the “lol funny sans megalovania” but Undertale is truly a gift that keeps on giving years after release, and it goes to show that this series is more than just the meme some people make it out to be. Thank you Undertale, Toby Fox, and thank you to the people within this beautiful comment section :)
I’ve been doing the same! I’m knew to the game and community, but I’ve done months (even years, maybe) worth if the entire game and played through just about everything. It’s so much more then the memes people put it as, and this comment section shows us that the world of Undertale’s magic is still here. Although it might be pushed down, there will always be this sacred chamber of this world.
Yes, Undertale is truly a masterpiece, what the story is great, the characters are amazing, and everything about it just feels great, it has some of the best writing I’ve ever seen in a game, I just feel as if the Internet and large part of the community kind of warped it into a bunch of nonsensical crap.
Its been years since 2015 but i dont feel that way, everytime im not feeling good, i just remember the songs, the storys, the game itself, it give me hope and i can relax, maybe its a silly game for someones but for me is the game that made me want to stay determinated in everymoment, toby give us a nice gift, isnt?

I don't think you need to worry about that. The undertale fandom just... creates fanart, then that fanart has fans, then they make fanart of the fanart. the fandom is self-perpetuating.
Makes me wish I could open a cafe with this playing in the background. There’s one specific cafe downtown, that I’ve gone to since I was a little kid.. I wanna do something like that, but with little reminders that people who like video games, really almost any games, movies, books, etc.. are welcome. As long as you don’t get into arguments. Sure, that’s bound to happen, but I’d strive to make that cafe an escape, if only temporary, from the rest of the world. A little pocket of a town where people can appreciate good food, good drinks, some great laughs, and just.. each other. I think we all need a bit of that these days.

As we know there's the soundtrack 'sans.', 'Its raining somewhere else', and 'megalovania'. It's all somehow linked to Sans, and to me I kind of took it as if each soundtrack represents a different side of him.
For example, in 'sans.', you see him introduce himself as a punny comedian.
When you hear 'Its raining somewhere else', he threatens you, saying that you'd be dead where you stood. But then he brushes it off as a joke and tells you to take care of yourself, because someone really cares about you.
And in 'megalovania', you see how he fights because of everyone that you dusted, seeking justice and telling you to give up.
For me it seems so creative that Toby Fox paid some good attention to the lei motifs (sorry if I spelt that wrong) and stuff, and I just completely understand how Sans is a tad bit overrated in the Undertale fandom. Thanks for reading this.

Sans is an amazing character but i agree that he is overrated and gets most of the attention of the fandom. i mean i dont even need to elaborate because we all know theories and stories about him, but it really feels like he is overshadowing the other characters in undertale.

Well, Smash Bros Megalovania has Bonetrousle and Heartache so it might actually be Sans' fighting theme.
Stmpwyfs seems like a neutral run or even a pacifist run battle theme for Sans, but Sans being Sans doesn't have the will to fight you in any of these routes.

Just about 20 minutes ago, my Dad was found barely conscious on the bathroom floor. He apparently had an allergic reaction and was barely able to speak. I stumbled upon him at about 3 or so in the morning, after my aunt was screaming their name. It scared me, as I had never heard of my dad having any kind of allergic reaction to anything. Regardless, he was slowly able to recover due to me and my aunt's efforts, but the whole encounter just has left me in a state of disarray.
So I came here. This is the one track that allows me to instantly feel calm or tranquil about most things, and this was no exception. I'm beginning to calm down now, as things are coming back to normal. It's funny, looking out the window, it's even raining. Guess it was just fate for me to listen to this. Anyways, yeah, that's about it.

This is my favorite undertale song for many reasons.
When you get past megalovania and the other memes, you see sans not as a meme, but a friend, a guide, a Guardian.
Undertale is my favorite game because of this and other things too.
Honestly, I'd like to see someone run a cafe or coffee shop, run by the fandom community, and have this kind of calming music on the speakers at all times, people of all sorts of fandoms, genders, colours, ages, and sexualities could come here to chill, calm down, learn, study, ect. It could be a safe place where people can come to de-stress from a rough day, or come to get away from an abusive household or relationship, and the people there would gladly help! There would be cosplayers, weebs, Furries, fandoms like Eddsworld, Undertale, Batim and such, and there could be some art on display of the better parts of these fandoms! It could be a non-toxic, no fighting zone, just chill.
That would be so cool and such a good idea but unfortunately I think there might be haters :(

Undertale is almost 7 years old now. Even now the game is amazing comparing it to stuff like call of duty or cyberpunk. The music and gameplay also go so well with eachother. This game is the only game that made sad after finishing it. If i could go back to play this for the first time again, i would.
ik this comment is a year old but if you liked undertale, you should try oneshot. I won't spoil anything, but the story is great and there's multiple endings, along with a secret route you can do after completing the game normally.

I like to think that this song is kind of "Sans true theme". It seems to be the one that best represents who the character normally is.
Sans isn't just lazy, if you consider the hints that the game gives you, then it's likely that he has lots of jobs actually. Due to this, he seems to be tired most of the time. He is still lazy though.
Sans isn't just funny (funeh bone man from undertall), he jokes around to lift the mood and cheer people up. Papyrus actually does more puns than he does, it's just that his horrible puns + the lazyness tend piss Papyrus off.
And Sans, although he gave up on trying to "go back" (to where? i dunno), he seems to actually enjoy the Underground. And thanks to Papyrus' motivation, he tries his best, and considering the burden of knowing how objectively pointless his decisions are, he actually does a lot.
What am i trying to get from all this? Well... I don't really know. But through this song, and what we get from Undertale and DeltaRune, he just seems like the type of guy who likes to go out every now and then with a friend, just to talk really. Have a nice chat, hear new opinions
And with how smart he probably is, i would love to hear him talk about whatever the frick he knows about quantum mechanics, alternate universes, and cars.
To resume it all: Sans just seems to be a pretty chill guy, who likes to make jokes sometimes and talk about things in general.

One night I went outside, went to my roof, put my headphones on and played this, it was around 1:30am I just could not sleep
I was staring at the stars and thinking about every decision, mistake, and every other thing I did in my life.
The time was passing so fast that I didnt even realized that its already 5am and I got school in 2 hours but I said to myself "even that Im going to look like a zombie in school today it was still worth it"

Wow, that's so strange, I am actually thinking about two good friends I had in grade 5, they showed me Undertale and we've been friends ever since. Well, the one fell out, but the other one is still my best friend to this day even if he's far away from us. I missed them.
This is actually quite comforting for me. It brings back good memories from a time where my life wasn’t so crappy. I miss those days, where I would hang out with my dad, play on the Wii with my sisters, make my parents proud, watch my brothers play games, etc.. now I’m a middle school kid who’s dad is dead and family basically ignores half the time unless they need a favor. My mom has gotten more.. aggressive, since the car accident where my dad died. All I really remember of him anymore is his face and feeling safe in his arms. Now, I don’t feel safe anymore because he’s dead and my mom scares me so bad and the loud noises cause me to panic because of my anxiety disorder and past trauma. I really wish for times to get better for me and for others if they’re struggling as well. Sorry for venting a little bit but I just kinda wanted to share my story to somehow let others know they aren’t alone in how they’re feeling or doing even if nobody will see this comment. Just know you are valid and amazing and I love you.

The rain cleanses and it heals. its honestly sad that rain is most of the time associated with sad moments, because when it rains its doesn't make the moment sadder, it makes it easier to handle the situation and get through it (in my opinion)

Sans is fully aware how pointless everything is, but still chooses to make others smile, even if his own is forced.
After finally playing Undertale doing the pacific route, which brought me to tears (it isn't easy for me to cry), I could have done the genocide route, but as I went to do the rain came down. I laughed, knowing it was a sign, so I left them with their happy ending
Here is a story that I made from some inspiration from other stories on here.
*It is 10 P.M., And you find yourself unable to sleep.
*you climb out of bed, and start some music on your MP3 Player, and plug in some headphones.
*as you scroll through the list of songs on it, you pass by one.
*it's raining somewhere else.
*you decide to play it, and listen to it for a while.
*even at 12 a.m., you still can't sleep. You then go over to the window to stargaze while listening to your music.
*however, it's raining.
*you then sigh, lamenting on ow you can't stargaze.
*So you watch the rain instead.
*while watching the rain trickle down your window, and outside, you think of something.
*You think about how your father always said that, "when it rains here, it will rain in another place."
*You think about it, and then say in your head...
* "Its raining somewhere else."
*after making that realization, you notice it is now 2 A.M.
*you then turn off the MP3, unplug your headphones, and listen to the rain as you drift off to sleep.
*finally, before you fall unconscious, you say one last thing out loud quietly.
* "It's raining somewhere else"
*you then fall asleep.

The week is over, youve already had a day to reset after the struggles of life.
You should be sleeping, you have work to do tomorrow to get you ready for next week.
Maybe its shopping, maybe its homework, maybe its an appointment.
Whatever it is, it needs to be done.
You save the game you were playing, maybe it was undertale, maybe it wasnt.
The specifics of life are so minuscule you dont pay that much attention to anything nowadays.
Your main focus is simply living.
You walk over to your bed and climb in, laying under the blankets and staring at the ceiling.
You can hear rain hitting against the roof as well as the window.
A gentle breeze whistles through the trees.
Its peaceful, almost peaceful enough to be completely your imagination.
You know its not your imagination, but what if it was?
What if you are simply imagining the rain as a way to calm yourself enough for sleep to prepare for tomorrow?
You decide not to look out the window to check if its real.
If it is your imagination, you are fine with that, its a good thing to imagine.
You lay there and close your eyes, just listening to the wind and rain.
Sleep doesnt take you, you just lay there for hours-or at least what feels like hours.
12:34 am, sunday.
You open your eyes, it had stopped raining a while ago, you had just been hoping it would start again.
It never did start again, because it never stopped, simply moved on.
Someone else gets a turn to listen to the rain, and you hope they appreciate it.
You get up from your warm bed to get a snack from the kitchen, careful not to wake any people or pets in your house.
You open the fridge, looking through it to see what you have.
You see a container of leftover spaghetti, that will do nicely.
You get a bowl for yourself and put it in the microwave, a bit worried about the beeping every time you push a button.
You check your phone while the microwave hums, youre careful to keep an eye on it, no one has messaged you all day.
You stop the microwave just before it beeps and you take your spaghetti out.
Its slightly colder than youd have liked, but you dont complain.
You sit at the table in the dark room and eat completely alone in the near-silent house.
The combination of darkness and silence should be unsettling, but the darkness offers you a hug and tells you that everything will be okay eventually.
You finish your pasta and put the bowl in the sink, youll clean the bowl in the morning.
You head back to bed, only stopping to make sure the floorboards dont wake anyone up by squeaking.
1:04 am, sunday.
As you lay back down, you think about your friends.
You wonder how theyre doing, if theyre asleep yet, if they would want any spaghetti, if they even still care about you.
You think about all the memories you have with them.
That birthday party, the time you got icecream, the time you decided to make fun of people you didnt even know.
You eventually end up crying, both from missing your friends and because you realize that theyve done so much for you.
You quietly laugh a little bit.
The rain came back after all.

Whenever I hear this, I picture myself sitting curled up with my knees to my chest where the luminous flowers reside. Right there with them, I listen to their endless stories and they listen to mine. They’re never judging, only accepting and understanding.
I dip my fingers idly into the cool water. It’s clear but there seems to be no bottom to the abyss of shining water. It’s almost as if it’s just as luminous as the flowers, gently glowing back at me when I trace patterns on the surface.
When I lay down, I see the cave ceiling above and feel the cool grass underneath me. It’s so calm here. Away from everyone, everything, that cause stress. Only me and the flowers, and the never ending whispers that echo around me. The cave ceiling are filled with splotches that look like stars. They’re nothing like real stars, I think. I still remember what those look like, shining brightly against the night sky. They’re always there, even if you may not see them all the time. It fills me with determination.
I knew undertale before im pretty sure i was like.... 9 - 12 or something (currently 14) before it didnt make me cry as much it was more like 'haha memes and stuff haha'

You sit at the bar and order your usual. The warm drink soon arrives, heating up your chilled hands.

its 4 pm, you work for home. you just have till 7 o'clock before you can go to that nice cafe and library after a long day of work.
time flies by and you close your laptop, and get your fuzzy coat and soft boots on. you see its snowing but the snowflakes melt before hitting the ground, in the middle of fall too. the leaves falling gives the neighborhood a nice scent.
you go outside without a umbrella and go on the short walk to the small town. the cafe is at the corner and the library is across from it.
as you get to the cafe for your pumpkin latte special, your favorite, you see your old pal. 14 years since you guys met. you hug tightly. nothing changed between you two and the cafe worker recognizes you. "Hey, its you from a week ago!" you responded with "Yeah, I come every thursday." they say that they now work every thursday so we could have "like a small friend group." you agree with your friend and have a nice chat.
the song starts to play. your friend asks "Whats the name of the song? I'd like to play it when it rains." the worker says its called "Rainfall" and your friend downloads it. "Oh, its already 1.. dont you guys close at 1:46?" you say. time has flew by unnoticed. the worker says "Oh, we close at 1:40. You guys can stay til it stops raining, its fine."
you and your friends chat til 2 and it stops raining and full on snows. the leaves are falling still. the street lights makes the outside warm looking.
"Welp, g'night guys. I'll go to the library, it closes at 3." you say. you add the drinks on your tab that they ordered with yours, and you head through the snow. you see your friend exit to go to their apartment, and you enter the library and get a book about someone having anxiety but they love to draw and that pushes it away. its recommended for relaxing. you read the second book too, and get the 3rd and 4th to read at home.
the library closes so you walk home. a little bunny hops by to check on you. its your little friend from last night's stroll. you give him another piece of lettuce you saved and go home.
while walking home you open discord and go to 𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙲𝚊𝚏𝚎 server. you put on the song your friend shared to you before they slept.
you get home after a few minutes, and your pumpkin spice has cooled a bit but not a lot. you can put it in the fridge and heat it up later anyways. as you get home you fall asleep listening to the song, curled up on your bed with your cat.
you awaken to a ad, it was a 5 hour loop and you finished it asleep. its 7 and your cat is still asleep, purring very loudly. you fall asleep after setting your phone down, you'll work later at 9...

Beanie BOOs yeah Ink's design really caught my eye at first because I'm really into art. Then I saw error in an animation meme by Sashley and I kind of learned a bit about those Sanses. I'll check into that song too! It sounds pretty cool! But my favorite Undertale song is the Down To The Bone rap.

If you choose genocide most of the time you want people to feel the pain you do or maybe you are trying to feel something anything even pain just so u can feel Like someone or something is there for you and that you will have something anything genocide can maybe mean you need to get ur anger out in k!lling people or things but you might not want to hurt others so you choose NPCs to know that everything can reset and no one will be truly hurt choosing genocide might mean you are less in touch with ur emotions your traits ect. but you can still feel and you might want to just feel a bit more but ur unsure how so you choose to get all the pain suffering and anger out to let all other emotions in and you might just need a safe vent space and if you know I want you to know that I'm here and if you vent out loud or in ur head you can think I'm listening and I get you and that everything will be ok but remember you are amazing and filled with

If you chose neutral you want to get rid of those who hurt you but keep those who care and love you, you give people that second chance that everyone deserves and you want to know story are you're a newcomer looking for what undertake really is and you might feel touched by everything and choose a new run to be pacifist or you could see the bad side of undertake and want to choose genocide both of these options are ok and you might RESET and go for neutral again just to change one small thing I'm not sure but what ever way you go remember there is no "right way" you get to choose that ending and which way you take it
If you chose pacifist as your first you most likely are an amazing person that wants the best ending, possibilities and future for those monsters and you want everyone to be happy but sometimes you overlook your own feelings to try and make everyone else feel better so remember you matter too as well as you try to listen to the music story and feelings of everyone and yourself you get more in touch with your emotions and feel attached sometimes maybe to the characters, personalities, ect but whatever it is remember there is no right ending no right way you choose your own path

Yeah this is definitely my favorite Undertale song, I usually don’t like playing jazzy sort of stuff except when it’s vibraphone, and this song uses vibraphone so fucking well, and it just sounds amazing, and I do like listening to this sorta jazz, like the sort of music you would hear at a bar, absolutely amazing.

This makes me think of all the years I spent in the UT fandom and the friends I made along the way.. And it makes me want to get back into the fandom. The serenity of it all, the storyline, everything was what kept me going a couple years ago. This music reminds me of everything, I can't wait to open up the game again.

I've never really even played undertale, it's something my siblings have tried to get me into but I just never did; it made me feel emotions and I didn't want to cry anymore.
Fallen down used to be my comfort song. I used to play it on piano whenever I was nervous or stressed to calm myself down. It brought me to a numb, safe place. Now whenever I hear it it brings me back to the past; not to the abuse, not to the fear but to the hollow yearn for peace, for happiness. Reminds me of the things that used to make me happy compared to all of the rage filled yelling and the malicious verbal abuse. The people that made me want to live that are no longer in my life; i used to love them so dearly and I think the reason I sometimes crave that hollow feeling is I miss how safe they made me feel, if even for a minute. I dont want to be suicidal again, I just want to have something that gives me that ammount of comfort again. Now the song gives me a sick feeling or more so desire for that hollow feeling. Not to be in pain but to enjoy the things that brought me joy.
Now I recently started listening to this song. It makes me calm, it makes me feel safe. It makes me happy and it makes me hopeful for the future compared to Fallen down. It gives me a similar feeling of buzzing in my stomach, but this time it's content, it's happy with where I am and how much I've improved in only one year of an abuse free household. It makes me proud and it makes me appreciate what I have rn. I can do it and I'll make it in life, I know it I just can't let the past control me, I can't let it haunt me any longer. 15 years and every type of abuse is gone, all I have is love and hope; all I have is a bright future; all I have is support and happiness. I'm proud of myself and a year ago I wanted so badly to die.
I made it, here's a rest stop and I can keep going. I'm going to make it and I'm going to enjoy life. I'm still learning but I'm 16. I have plenty of time. Till then, I'm going to keep hoping for the future.
Yea, I actually can relate. Just last year, life hit me hard. Like a blunderbuss through the eye. I realized everyone I once knew was fading away from me. And my sanity, also. I discovered this game, Undertale and the same song you said, Fallen Down. I immediately learned it on piano, right when I began to play the instrument. I put so much soul into it, even now I still do. It’s simple but sorrow. Then I saw myself becoming a bd person. Swearing, which my family is Morman, so it’s not something I’d do, but fell into anyways. I began joking about serious topics, like killing and so much more. A sudden desire to be more like the terrible people at school to be popular burned throughout me. I realized and tried deeply to cut it off my soul, but it remained. Just that school was so toxic, I’d began going mentally insane. I’d been a mental therapist and had numerous situations where I’ll be the one helping. I did. Now those people had moved on, leaving my messed up self for me to fix. My family would never accept me if I told them, so I didn’t. I looked into this game, because of that song. Fallen Down. Then I played through it, and later Deltarune also. After a pacifist run, and bully me as much as you want, I felt normal again. Like the person I was. Before any toxicity. I hopped on my piano and just began to melt through, composing stuff. And just like that, I’d started something new. A new me. I’d also got into the whole music scene just last year, and was now leading trombone and the only trombone player in our Jazz Band. I’m still playing with them to this day. It helped being around people with the same soul for music as me, and people who knew what they were doing. In a few months, I’d dropped about everything. I felt like me again. Now, I’m on the journey to conquer the world of music. Learn as much as possible. Write my stuff. And also to realize life isn’t that happy after your younger ages. It’s a very dark world. But merely accepting what you have is what matters most, as you say. Even having a suicidal problem and getting through shows you’ve been growing and changing. Becoming a better person. After this, I began to lead in mental therapy, to give them what I didn’t have through my dark hours. It taught me so much more, allowing me to help even more. Here I am, still standing. Also you are still standing also, my friend. Just that matter of getting through and learning is a skill many people nowadays don’t have. So be grateful, and I know it’s hard going through. It is a very serious thing, suicide. But tanking through that makes you better. Thanks if you actually read this, by the way. I’ve also picked up writing, so it’s a bit long lol. I am recently loosing passion for band due to the band I am in, however music and the people I sourround myself with are my inspiration, what gets me through things. Everything has been a lot better recently and I am happy. I feel glad to be free of my old harmful tendencies such as self discrimination, self harm, impulsiveness and low self esteem. I am really appreciative to read your story and to see how similar our stories are. I'm glad things seem better and I hope they stay for the best. @@cyanpoolball7914 Thank you, in just 3 months I am already doing amazing, working on things in therapy and trying to erase the toxic things I was taught in my last household (most of the habits are gone now!). I have learned to love myself and appreciate the things I accomplish, and be okay with failure. I have surrounded myself with good people who also make me feel happy and safe, yearning for that hollow feeling is rare now, but I know how to process it better if it happens. Over all i am proud of all that inhave done in such a short time period. Thank you for your support and I hope you have an amazing life!

When I here this song, it takes me back to years ago when Undertale was really popping off. To when things didn't matter that much. To the times of good and bad fanwork of this game. I miss them, even if the fandom got toxic at times. A lot of bittersweetness. I hope to never forget about Undertale, honestly
