    You're my heroine. I couldn't figure out how to use an eyelet. This clip will help me replace the eyelets on my shoes.

    Thank you. Mine came without instructions so this was really helpful because I thought you assembled them like snaps in 2 parts. Well done.

    Ha! 😅 Knowledge is power. I had this odd looking tool laying around home years ago and I threw it away... 'cause I could not find any use for it. Now I need to add a grommet to a tarp and, lo and behold, I see the same tool in your video 🤦‍♂️ - Live and learn mate, live and learn. Thanks for sharing.

    I bought the eyelets from the local market and some of the videos I watched were all with separate washers. So I thought the eyelets I bought won't work. I am glad you made this video! Thank you! :)

    Damn. I had been putting 1 on top and 1 on bottom lol I guess that's what I get for not reading the instructions. Thank you!!

    Thanks for this, I've tried so many different ways of setting eyelets, including using two! Now I can do it properly :)

      Same here. I just added eyelets to my camping tarp, on location. Tarp is looking good and tight now.

    Cutting in the fabric? I thought one makes a hole with an awl. That way you push the fibers away to create an opening instead of damaging the fibre.

    • @laurachido7787
      @laurachido7787 Рік тому +3

      There are some countries that do not have awls so this method is perfect and cutting won't damage the fabric if you iron on some interfacing. 😊

    Your eyelet needs to be flat against the material. The side with the interfacing should not be sticking up at all. You can flatten it with a hammer or setting tool, or just squeeze harder on the tool.
