What happens when you add loose parts to recess?

This video documents a pilot project of Portland Free Play to introduce 'Adventure Play' into recess at Vernon Elementary School in Portland, Oregon. Kids were give access to loose 'scrap' materials that can be played with in a variety of different ways. Adults were encouraged to not intervene in the children's play unless absolutely necessary.
