I just re-stringed my Clavinet with vintage vibe string set and I am skeptic if having 0.9s for more than half the keyboard. Am I wrong, is this the way it always used to be?
OK, million dollar question: if the gel is a million times better than yarn... that basically means it won't sound original, right? Can you see someone preferring the yarn sound even if it gives more of a key-off sound?
I've never seen a clavinet nor will I ever play one. This video was cool as hell.
I came here to learn how to re-yarn/re-string my clav. Now I have some serious thinking to do...
The Clavigel is way better
Very cool video! Can you maybe do a longer one (for the benefit of us in the 6-string seats) explaining how it works, showing the various parts?
It works like a Guitar, it has Magnetic Pickups & it takes Super long Nickel Wound Loop End Electric Guitar strings.
Wow... God bless you for this SUPER video...Thank you
+100 points for the idea of lining up the peg holes!
It's kinda like using Geared Tuning keys on a Violin, Viola, or Cello for Tuning along w/ a String Winder for faster restringing.
DR & D'addario make awesome strings for them. They should make NYXL Versions of them.
Wow!
Thanks a lot !
where I can buy parts for my clavinete d6? thanx
Hello, what app do you use for tuning? Txs

trabalho de mestre
Since this is a Duo Pianet, Clavinet, you can actually tune the strings w/ the Tines.
You can tune the strings to the tines.
Where can I find the background music?
The Transitional Gauge strings really liven up the sound.
It has the same range as an 8 String Electric Guitar w/ a Low F# & B on the Bass Side.
that tape could have lines printed on it to help with the mags alignment
I find weaving the strings through yarn tends to get Crusty so the Clavigel seems to work better.
The Claviset by Weltmeister is a copy of a Honor Cembalet
I also see those Metal Tines.
It's probably a Pianet Clavinet duo
How much time does this take you? I imagine it'd take a novice maybe twice that?
The Clavigel saves you time

It'll have a punchier sound.
The Clavigel will enhance the sound.
Around 5:38 would be much better if you could hear the clav tuning without crappy background music.
Nightmare to me tryin to replace strings they will broke in sec
4 ad segments on this video
thats a clavinet pianet duo??? oh man a i have a serious crush on electric pianos
Yeah. You can actually use the Pianet tines to tune the strings
DoctorMix brought me here
Always recycle your strings.
