Until this I missed the part where Henry yells "Mom!" and runs forward and Regina kind of gets up expecting him to run to her but he runs past her to Emma that broke my heart a little bit
I noticed something in a rewatching of the show... Emma's one of the few people to thank Regina for what she does... Kind of sad in a way. And how Regina looked as though she wasn't expecting the 'thanks' too. She more than anyone else is slowly learning that not all good deeds go thanked or thankless at least.
Emma has such gratitude towards Regina for being a good mother to Henry because of her Henry never had to suffer the same childhood that Emma did and I think even when Regina was at her worst carried alot of Weight with Emma
