    Even disregarding the insane costs of that home but whats truly wild to me is the thought to move into a home that is completly finished down to the landscaping. That must be really nice.
    Most people can't afford to have everything done at once so usually it's a long process to get a house to your 'dream home' even if you're building it from scratch.
    Anyways it's a really gorgeous well curated house.

      Thank you, but that is actually not a 100% correct statement 😝 we haven’t touched the landscaping out the back, the side fencing, as well as the pool has only just begun 3 months after completion and afterwards we will be finishing landscaping in parts ourselves, because as you correctly said, building is insanely expensive 🤩 it’s a work in process and we opted to get the front landscaped so we at least felt like half the home was completed haha

      Engineered stone has been banned in australia, and I just think natural is sooo much more beautiful! 🥰 but we did pick a hardy stone for the kitchen for that reason 🥰

      I work in stone supply, taj mahal is a wonderful stone to use in the kitchen and If the right sealer is used, You can get away with only sealing once every 5 - 10 years!
      What a beautiful home ❤

    My favourite part of this video is when you are talking about the bathroom sinks and how much easier to clean they are when they are below the bench line 😅 I was feeling like I was the only person who didn't think the above sink trend was worth it for this very reason haha

      @ElsasWholesomeLife  10 місяців тому

      Hahaha yes we had above bench sinks for years and omg nightmare 😵‍💫😵‍💫 very happy with that decision for now 🤝🏼

    Hi Ellie! Stunning house and such a good vibe. Love the lime wash paint! Do you know if they covered it with some sort of protection varnish? Also could I ask from where have you got the mature olive tree? Thank you xx

      Our olive tree was sourced by our landscaper from somewhere in QLD I believe it was trucked from west of the GC

    Hi Elli, where did you purchase your olive tree? I did not know you can purchase a mature olive tree!

    • @ElsasWholesomeLife
      @ElsasWholesomeLife  10 місяців тому +1

      Our landscaper sourced that beauty for us, I am unsure of the supplier name but it came from western QLD. I was also chatting to a company called ready creek plant boutique who were also sourcing me mature olives, our landscaper was able to get a slightly more competitive price from his contact but definitely hit up those guys they have lots of posts on their IG of trees just like ours

    Curious about the choice of so many fixed glass windows. Doesn’t that make the house a bit stuffy and hot?

    • @markandsuzannebeegee8222
      @markandsuzannebeegee8222 10 місяців тому

      And the sliding windows with only 50% airflow?

    • @ElsasWholesomeLife
      @ElsasWholesomeLife  10 місяців тому

      Actually I don’t find this house stuffy, and we moved in mid summer. It was the window plan advised by the architect and the sound proofing engineer plans. Originally they were supposed to be louvres but we had to change them. I honestly haven’t opened any windows anyway, + we have fully ducted AC for summer ☺️

    • @markandsuzannebeegee8222
      @markandsuzannebeegee8222 10 місяців тому

      Hopefully they looked at a breathable house for you more than sound proofing, and things like solar and grey water systems too. Happy for you though if it’s all feeling lovely. Congratulations.

    Hi, Ellie! GORGEOUS home 🥹 and it’s 100% you! I have a question tho, why not build a second floor? Is that not so common in Aus?

    • @ElsasWholesomeLife
      @ElsasWholesomeLife  10 місяців тому +2

      Lots of homes are double storey here, but that’s due to land size and space. We have just lived in a 2 storey house and I really don’t like stairs 🫣 difficult for grandparents to visit and I find a second floor really separates a home
