Because in all honesty, the way guards "hear" noise in this game is a glitchy mess. Sometimes they'll hear noise from 3 floors up and other times they won't hear noise right next to them.
what i did was glitch out most of the guards so they would stand in one spot and never do anything, however it is VERY finicky and the only consistent way i figured out how to do it was to get purposely caught by a camera, and while a guard is walking over to investigate. you get caught by HIM and just constantly stand infront of him as he brings you outta the restricted area

I have trick to this heist Grab Drill and go to locked doors, use and drop because guard gonna check, block guard in front doors Or flowers and wait until he stand Forever and do this like 2 more times because only guard from up and nearby security room gonna check so 3 guard are off. Open lockpick doors and got Caught by camera and open doors nearby untility keycRdcard,guard come for you and Escort to place behind this doors and he need look at ATM so he don't gonna se you up and do this with second guard.Get untility keycard and turn off alarm,tie npc and take him to place where no one gonna see and leave him.Go to van for gun, kill guard in security and this 2 in vault,get vault keycard and finish the robbery

Please help! so theres an issue, when i picklock the security room the guard thats supposed to run doesnt run it has happenned to me for like 5 times now and i am pretty much just wasting time.
So the issue with the guard not being alerted has been a recent concern. What I discovered/think is that when running through the door to alert him is a timing issue. In which when you sprint through the door to generate noise, he's not in the right spot to hear it, and come to investigate the noise. So either people are going too fast, or not fast enough to have the guard upstairs to be in the right spot. So my solution is if your going too fast is to keep running through the door over and over again until you see the question mark appear above. As for going too slow, just master the first part down until your fast enough to where the timing is just right for the guard to be alerted when sprinting through the door. I hope this answers your question and it solve the current issue.

I think what happens is , you need the right right to where the guard was just above the door when sprinting through he would hear it, to come down stairs to investigate. I figured I make this video for the new players that were having issue with the past orbital bank heist videos I made, cause they said they were running into guards following those videos. This way you only have to worry about 1 guard then.

So I figured this way, takes out 8 of them while leaving the one in security and I belive 1 last roaming guard. But for us veterans 😂 we totally would take out the cameras.

It works if you run in the door more times and if the guard is close then he will hear it.
