Shame about the misinformation about losses being percentages. Eg A 500bhp car which dynos at 400whp (20% loss or 100hp loss) Then gets a bunch of engine upgrades and dynos at 800whp does not suddenly have 160hp in losses and make 960hp at the crank. Where are the extra 60hp losses coming from? Doesn't work that way. More realistic is the new 800whp + 100hp losses so 900bhp. Granted the difference seems small here (60hp) but that's added over 50% to our original loss figure. And obviously the more extreme change in hp from factory to final figure the more absurd using a % becomes. The assumption is then also that nothing in the driveline has changed or everything goes out the window anyway. Then you would either need a dyno like a Maha that can get a pretty good idea of losses from a coast down or go to an engine dyno after chassis / hub dyno to find your drivetrain losses. A fixed figure isn't 100% correct either as losses are dependent on a multitude of other factors however its a whole lot more realistic than percentages as can be simply shown by the maths. Love the channel and what you guys are doing at ES especially! Just think there needs to be a bit of responsibility taken when giving information to such a large audience. All the best 😊

We focus on the car’s acceleration numbers and by the numbers alone the performance is on par with 1000+HP vehicles in other marques and other Porsches from different tuners. We go by WHP figures on our packages for a reason. There are many arguments about losses, hence why it’s something we don’t need to waste time on. The main thing is the WHP figure as that’s the figure on the road, and the acceleration numbers. Thanks again for the contribution 👍👍

I’m a big fan of that E63s, I think it would have the higher top speed but in any drag race or 0-60/100-200 run it would get smoked. Then again is DMOs E63s stage 3? Last time I checked it was barely stage 2. Stage 3 E63s vs this 911 would be interesting to see.
Tbh I don’t think DMO’s e63 would struggle against the 911. Especially with the turbos on, that thing fucking pisses all over his SV. I’m sure a few months back he said it was his fastest car hands down… that may have changed by now tho

I am pretty sure you have done the 15% calc wrong. You should be dividing WHP by (1-loss). So 822 / 0.85 = 967 at the crank. Eg. if you lose 15% of 967 to the transmission you get 967 * (1-0.15) = 822. So even better crank numbers than you thought! Very close to that magic 1000 number! Awesome stuff!
Amazing car - I almost feel like they stopped the dyno before the limiter? And power was still climbing at the top. As mentioned below it’s 824 / 0.85, so if it makes a few hp more than this when revved more… does it make an approx 1000hp crank 👀
