And the team got 2 more wins while playing in 1 fewer game. I think there was ebb and flow issues at times with Dorsey, but I wouldn't say Allen was less. He carried that offense in most of the games. And played through an elbow injury for a big chunk of the season. I also really think James Cook is going to have a big year coming up. He got shelved early in the season with a fumble in his first game and a dropped pass that might have been a TD. But he showed a lot of flash otherwise, the workload just wasn't there. I mean him and Singletary combined for 1300/7 rush, 450/2 rec. Would be nice to have a guy do that on his own, but not too shabby overall. At 24, he led us to a Superbowl and made us a consistent postseason threat thereafter! He was the first guy to offer the Pats hope! He had an absolute cannon! His decision making was his issue and after the Brady era began, he became a journeyman starter who seemed like his heart wasn't in it anymore. However, he wasn't J.A.G, he is extremely important and Gillete stadium was built off his arm. What happened after that is like a dream to most but probably a nightmare for him.

It's not a long term solution and it's way too much money for a short term one and I think the entire league sees that.
The truth is that appart from Mahomes and maybe Burrow they're aren't that many no brainers in the league right now. Rogers comes off a very bad season and was basically relying on Adams for the two previous ones. I agree with Nick that it's magic moutain Allen. Hubert still hasn't done anything in the post season. Dack hasn't either. Wilson is cooked. Watson an unknown quantity at this point. I don't believe Trevor Lawrence is amazing (for every good game there's an abysmal one but Nick never talks about those...) I mean you get my point and these guys aren't even available. Mac hasn't been amazing yet but there's not many sure thing options out there right now to replace him. So try one last season with him and if it's a bust than look elsewhere.
