@@bethiahpoyneer8916 hey thanks a lot! We do a lot of education on our channel and we usually do a live video every Thursday. You’re welcome to drop in anytime if you have questions you can pop them there. And I encourage you to check out some of the live videos that we have as there are a lot of useful links tonPDFs that we have written ourselves that will answer a lot of questions about raising Quail. And all that stuff is free and you don’t have to sign up for anything so feel free.
@thedinosauromelette yes I will do that thank you!! The main thing i still want is just having a constant rotation of incubating/growing out and id love to find that written out. Like the pdf on this one but it keeps going and going haha!
That’s great! Congrats! They’re really productive birdsZ we focus on the jumbo Coturnix. There are many breeds but these jumbo quail are wonderful food makers. If you have any questions reach out to us! Could always use a good idea for a new educational video as we are a newer/small channel.
quail are the best I breed for personal use, incubate, brood till about 4 weeks ( probably too long), and put in a battery ( series of cages) which are 2 x 4 feet in 3 sections. One male and 4 hens although probably more hens per male should be employed. U have good idea on wire over feeder to keep waste down to a minimum. Water heater in each waterer is good also. I usually haver about 100 birds as a target..........if i have too many eggs the dog is most thankful. Thanks for all the bs in the filming for this audience. I also us a non gmo feed for chickens of 20 percent protien and add an occasional scoop of 30 percent game starter to bring up the protien level and it seems to increase egg producdtion a bit. ( empirical with no real tests carried out) again thanks
Hey John thanks for the kind words. Your just sounds very similar to one of ours! 2’x4’ with three staked in a tier. I (Chris) prefer them over our chickens for their productivity and I think the eggs are much tastier. If there’s anything you’d like for us to talk about on here lemme know!
Bah! Thanks. That’s not good. I guess corrupted coding when it was uploaded. We have other videos addressing this issue as well as weekly q&a sessions .
informative podcast, just sound and video is different at times, also thank you for PDFs
Thanks. This is a recast from our Facebook Live . We do weekly Q&A sessions on Thursday’s.
So glad you did this video! This is exactly what i have been trying to figure out! Thank you! Found you from self sufficient quail fb :)

Hi 😊
Well howdy Oliver! Happy New Year!
Your audio track is close to 2 seconds behind the video. It is very disorienting.
