    Love how you added so many different shots to your video. Great lighting too.

    Very nice bro. I love adding cargo to my bikes. Adding those straps as a base is very cool. I love your sense of adventure. Great video.👍👍

    I reused old pallet boards and 2x4s bolted in between the frame rails so I could screw the decking too for my trailer.

      Sounds like it might get heavy.
      2x4s are heavy.

    When I decided to put a trailer for touring on the Expedition, that type of tongue sort of worried me. So I got a B.O.B. Yak trailer. It has a sort of U shaped yoke, the open end of the U attaches to the axle. So the push/pull action from the trailer, is linear. I'm not sure if it really makes any difference but it makes me feel better. After all there is about a gazillion Burley trailers out there, with the same tonque set up that you have, and I haven't heard any complaints about it on BROL.

      Hi Kirk
      How much weight can you put on your trailer?

    • @kirkjones9639
      @kirkjones9639 3 роки тому

      @@Thetrikejunkie They don't recommend that you put over 75 lbs. on it, or go faster then 25 mph. I used it to tour over to MT, to compete in the Big Horn Classic rifle competition, and between rifles, shooting gear, camping stuff etc. it all came down to 135 lbs. and she was doin 45 down Lolo Pass. I wore out a new chain and even with the motor, it was a slog and took me a day longer then expected. The thing I really like about the Yak is that the wheel tracks right where your rear wheel on the trike does, and being slightly narrower then your front wheels, you can just about forget about it being there. Burley trailers are a lot more popular though, and there must be a reason for it. Maybe it is because, no one wants to admit too having B.O.B. Nutz on their trike ;-)

      @@Thetrikejunkie I almost forgot. The Ibex model of the B.O.B. has an adjustable coil over shock suspension. Really makes that thing ride nice back there. I'm forever getting the model of my trailer wrong, I have a Yak sack for it, so I'm always calling it a Yak trailer. It is actually an Ibex.

    I notice with interest that your torque arm on the rear hub does in fact oppose the "equal and opposite" torque force. as correct and as intended. Nicely done. I use dual opposed torque arms on each side to 100 percent immobilize any possibility of slippage of the axle in either direction of rotation inside the dropout although I do not use regenerative braking so there is no particular theoretical need for the other torque arms which would be advisable if you have regenerative braking. I overbulit my torque arms just for the additional peace of mind, as I have taken my trike in some rougher trails. Nice setup.

      Yes, I thought it'd be a good idea To double up on the torque arms with all the rough terrain I'd be going through. I'm glad I did. Haven't had any issues so far. Thanks for the comment

    How fast does your trike go on flat ground

    • @Thetrikejunkie
      @Thetrikejunkie  3 роки тому +2

      I have it set at 20mph. To make it Legal in this state. You can set it faster. Top speed between 30 and 35 mph.

      @@hahafalseflag5090 You can buy a kit for an e motor cycle and attach it as well. But you will need to reinforce where the hub goes in to not warp the frame where it connects. It is always better to go slower on a trike. It is in the culture. Once you get on one, you just want to get things in.
