I would recommend the Technik Museum Sinsheim or/and the Technik Museum Speyer. They are alot bigger and have different vehicles and planes.

I would say your picking hand is the most important element to chugging. All that gear/equipment/tone, etc. is for nought if you don't have a solid down picking technique.
Just saw Metallica Friday and Kirk was using one of the purple epiphones on stage which is wild considering the other hard tail he used through the night was Greenie.

It's interesting to see how other people boost the front ends of their tube amps. I realized early on that I always set the level on '10' and the gain at '0' which made me think Why am I using an overdrive for this!?!? I can use any pedal. My absolute favorite was the Boss GE7 because you have the level boost and also you have 7 bands of eq to really dial it in. Then, rather than slamming the front end, I found using it in the loop between the pre and power allowed me to reshape my entire pre section AND boost it into the power section.
the source audio eq2 is stereo but you can go into the preamp and then through the fx loop too for different eq settings for each. Pretty crazy. Doesn't have an analog sound but doesn't color the tone either.
Using an EQ in the loop is very effective for shaping the overall tone. But it happens after all the gain stages, where all the distortion takes place. If you boost the mids (and low cut) before the preamp, the low end gets less distorted by the preamp than the mid frequencies, and the whole tone becomes "tighter", because the lows stay clean. Distorted low frequencies sound farty and weird, which is not what many want for their rhythm tone.
Two different uses for a boost depending on what kind of tone you want to go for.
You use a tube screamer not because its a perfectly clean gain boost. Its being used as an eq by cutting the low end it tightens it up. Its not really for gain reasons, or volume reasons, its for tone shaping
I found that explanation "get overdrive or distortion" a bit lacking in the video. If you use amp's overdrive, adding another OD into the mix will probably make it just sound terrible. I'd say "get distortion" period. Then if you find amp's overdrive lacking get some good OD pedal and place it after distorsion.
Why in this order? Because with distortion you get an extra bonus. Every distorsion works also like compressor so you are overdriving the already compressed signal. And it sounds much better this way also. I actually have also another compressor before distorsion but I use it only when I'm not using distorsion.
About EQ. I found that placing EQ between preamp and power amp gives the most out of it. I have noise gate there also before EQ so I can also adjust volume a bit after the gate. Noise gate gets the input signal directly from guitar and this makes delay and reverb effects a bit hard to dial so that the gate won't kill the echo, but this way it removes the noise more efficiently.
And for extra chug it is fun to put chorus in preamp's effect loop with low settings so not to muddy the sound too much.
This is an entirely different concept than using a front end boost. You’re effectively running two EQs in the preamp section (amp’s built in EQ and your outboard EQ). Even when setting an OD pedal at 10 and 0 with the level and gain respectively, the signal is still going through a circuit of op amps and/or transistors + multiple capacitors and resistors, hard or soft diode clipping, and pedal specific LPF/HPF circuits. The pedal will color/boost the input signal even if you have the gain at zero. It also goes through all the gain stages of the amp rather than skipping one or a few like an effects loop will. If what you’re doing works, do it. It can be an effective way to boost and get more gain. Not saying either way is better. But from a signal path analysis point of view, it isn’t the same thing as boosting the front end of an amp.

Yeah, eq pedal for me as well. You arent stuck with one eq knob, you have almost infinite possibilities. Works great for lower gain sounds as well.
