- We learned this fiddle tune years ago and it's pretty popular in our area. It's a great tune to play for a Contra Dance. We found some old pottery in the creek and seeing the lizard was awesome. Hope you enjoy the video!

Young ladies . . . I’m older than dirt . . . Miss Lewis taught us square and contra dancing in the 3rd grade to a record player. When we told our Baptist parents about it, they got stink bug mad! I loved it. Mainly cause I’d get to hold hands with Gail Preston! Miss those days. . . *sigh* She had a yellow handled pocket knife with two blades.

At first I thought the lizard was a snake! Little pieces of treasure. The creek is always so peaceful. The song was peppy song. Found myself tapping my foot. Less than a month now for Corie and Austin's wedding. Exciting times. God bless you both! ❤️❤️

I used to like playing in the creek when I was little. We used to color on rocks with "paint" rocks. I don't know what kind of rocks they were, but I remember red, yellow and blue ones. Love the music♥

I've been watching your videos for the last couple of days, and really enjoy the glimpses of Appalachian life you offer. I grew up in southern West Virginia -- Buffalo Creek area of Logan county. I live in northeast Ohio now, but my heart is still in the hills and "hollers" that were once my home.
