So you would rather they fill their shelves with plastic merchandise from China that adds to our trade deficit and end up in land fill?

Interesting when Woolworths is making sure that millions of dollars does not go to China and stays in Australia we have a go at them . If only we can celebrate Australia Day the way we used too without all the Chinese crap it would be so better
Wow I'm actually surprised this news broadcast reflects the honest truths of the majority. Woolworths you suck!
Change the date of Australia Day, celebrate on a different more respectful date, or there isn’t anything to celebrate if not all Australians can celebrate on the national day. January 26th clearly isn’t the right date for Australia Day.

The two biggest shareholders of Woolworths are Black Rock and Vanguard. These two are the biggest corporations in the US who are also the biggest shareholders in Pfiser and Moderna. Woolworths celebrate American national days but have no respect for ours, nor our health it would appear.

As we learned here in America, Boycotting woke businesses works very well at making woke businesses rethink their ill planned schemes.
The MAGA obsession with WOKE is laughable. Woke was originally a term used back in the 1930's by African Americans who' had woken up' to the racism and discrimination they faced every day.
Woke is a mad up word that republicans highjacked from African 3:18 American slang. Now you have old people screaming it at everything.
@@aaronlewis2501 A 'mad up word', eh? You sure seem 'mad up'. I suspect because you're one of the types of people being called out.

Hmmm..they pack the store with Halloween junk..but...aus day
when did Australians start doing this ridiculous demonic cultural thing from the USA of Halloween. I bet 80% of Australians would not know the background & meaning behind the different things done for Halloween.
Start with google! " the Halloween holiday has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (a Gaelic word pronounced “SAH-win”), a pagan religious celebration to welcome the harvest at the end of summer, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts"
The celtics are based in pagan practices which would be based in spiritualism-demonic realm.

The first bit of honest reporting they've done in a VERY long time
I’m an Aboriginal-Australian and I love this country and would die for this country, I work for the government and have been for more than 2 decades. I’m telling you that January 26th is not the right date for me and my people to celebrate because we view it as the start date of our peoples murder, slavery, cultural dispossession and oppression. I want to celebrate my country, but when non-indigenous people tell me to do it on the date their ancestors came her and started hurting my ancestors, I take huge issue with it.
January 26th is not a date we can all unite. And as an Aborignal-Australian I refuse to celebrate my country until we can find a date that suitable not just for you, but me and my people also. The problem is that people like you think that your opinion is the only one that matters, but I’m just as much of an Australian as you and I love this country the same if not more than you. So why shouldn’t I be able to have an Australia Day that’s on a more appropriate and respectful date for all of us. I refuse to celebrate my country on the day the English came here and started dispossessing us.
@@DJDJDJ22 Oh, it's the 'start date' of those things, is it? Those things never happened in this country before 1788, did they? No tribal warfare, conquests, 'cultural dispossession' and 'oppression'? Rhetorical. It happened all the time, don't pretend otherwise.

It's not American
"One theory holds that many Halloween traditions were influenced by Celtic harvest festivals, particularly the Gaelic festival Samhain, which are believed to have pagan roots.[19][20][21][22] Some go further and suggest that Samhain may have been Christianized as All Hallow's Day, along with its eve, by the early Church.[23] Other academics believe Halloween began solely as a Christian holiday, being the vigil of All Hallow's Day.[24][25][26][27] Celebrated in Ireland and Scotland for centuries, Irish and Scottish immigrants took many Halloween customs to North America in the 19th century,[28][29] and then through American influence various Halloween customs spread to other countries by the late 20th and early 21st century."

Hello fellow Australians,
It is I, your favourite federal Leader of Opposing, Peter Dutton.
I hope you all had a happy new year, although I don’t know if you are even allowed to say that these days. Personally my new year's resolution was to focus on what matters most this year, and that is mind numbing culture wars.
Which is why I am so deeply concerned with what is happening at Woolworths this year. In an unprecedented move, they have stopped selling toothpicks with Australian flags on them. Something we as a nation have never seen before! (Except for all the stores, such as Kmart, who stopped selling them already)
This is, simply put, the worst tragedy that has ever happened. Why is this not the focus of the trial happening in The Hague right now?
I understand that this change has been a massive disappointment to all of those quiet Australians who, like myself, feel that the glue keeping this country together was supermarkets selling shorts with flags on them made of polyester that aids the growth of crotch fungus. It’s unclear how the nation can even continue without them.
If we as a nation cannot come together and go to the supermarket to celebrate this great country, by purchasing single use thongs with our flag on them that were terribly made in a sweatshop based in a country that I normally call for a boycott of, then well what is the point of having this day at all?
We must not let this slide. I call on everyone to boycott any business not selling the merchandise and instead spend our money in the place where I was born, The Reject Shop.
And I promise to you Australia, that I will continue to fight for this noble cause and any other I deem equally as important, just as long as the media keeps making whatever I say their top story without any thought to the damage they are causing by doing so.
Let’s Make Australia Day Great Again!
Yours,
Peter Dutton
Leader of the Death Eaters
