Dhadak is amazing. Can't believe people hate it for being a remake. I personally, loved it. Both these actors did amazing. Ishaan and Janhvi were gorgeous. Art is all about different creations and interpretations. It didn't have to stick to the exact same storyline even if it is a remake.
And for people like me, who haven't watched Sairat, this is THE movie. You may have not liked it as much if you have watched the original coz we tend to compare a lot.
But as a Hindi remake, and for someone's first watch, it was beautiful. Underrated.

The ending broke my heart
After reading the comments I watched the Sairat trailer. I don't understand the language/s but the characters in Sairat are more 'real' and have chemistry ... you feel more for them than for the couple in this trailer. Everything in this trailer looks very glossy (apart from the male protagonist). Even the 'villain' in this is presented in such an over the top manner compared to the same character in the other trailer ... anyway, as Sairat has had so many positive comments I'll see if I can find a copy with English subtitles ... :)
Movie has simple. Looking. Typical kids....director selected real. Poor kids. As leads... No makeup light and expensive stuff yet real..you won't regret watching it ever...even the language won't be barrier

Just look at original movie and characters. Archie was daring, bold and had bossing attitude here she is threatening to kill herself while Archie in movie was pointing gun at others, what a stupid character development.
Original is Greatest Indian movie ever. Pure talent. Nagraj is the only talented and genuine Indian director. No single Indian director not even slightly comes closer to him. Even SLB or Ashutosh govarikar ( don't even ask rajamuali or someone like that) .
Each and every scene in this movie is masterpiece. Like at 0:47 or guys running with fire in background, parshya running while his shirt was torned, timing of rain in sairat zal jee, parshyas shouldee movements to rinku's jump and also parshya's jump in well in yad lagal. Even handicapped guy tanaji's all scenes were great.
The casting was done in very genuine way considering need of character.
The handicapped guy was inspired from nagraj's real life friend from school, nagraj spotted aakash on railway station and he observed him for some hours and then he asked him for audition. Rinku was selected in similar manner.
Really greatest movie.

On one hand I'm happy that a Marathi film is remade in Hindi, but frankly speaking this film has been completely "Bollywoodized". It lacks the simplicity, realistic story and ordinary looking people as the lead roles of Sairat which were the main reasons for its success. This film seems to be a typical Masala movie of Bollywood. Anyway, all the best!

Still this will be super hit and will make good money. Reason is not because this will be outstanding but people are used to watching garbage just because of shitty reasons like fan following.
Bollywood was completely different till 2000 and then it changed. Some good movies are there no doubt but the ratio is not even 10%
These days, I find regional movies far more better as they don't try to monetise everything they make. Marathi, Bengali, south movies as well are getting good scripts these days and making good movies.

@Bho Loo won't talk about the commerical success but what makes sairat outstanding is direction, cinematography and screen play of sairat. Yes the story is not extremely unique but the way it's presented as a cinema is what made sairat legendary.
