I'm so glad to see you're still making vids! I got into craft beer in 2012, when Brewdog were kings, and would watch your reviews when I'd gotten my hands on something you had reviewed on your channel to compare taste notes, impressions and stuff. Kinda stopped engaging in the social internet side of beer drinking in 2016 but I recently started to get back into it and your channel came to mind.
I have never heard of someone putting beetroot in beer before but man it's pretty damn clever!
Pours translucent mahogany with a thick tan head. Aroma gives tart and sweet cherry, lotsa cherry, with a hint of malt. Flavor provides tart and sweet cherry, seriously fruity, hints of malt and hops. Texture contributes good body and peppy fizz. Cherry good.
Last time I had this beer, you hadn't yet done a review on it. Picked it up again today and lo and behold I found this review from a year ago. Love this beer but in small doses...agree with Cherry Halls cough drop flavor, but I love cherry Halls...lol so it's right up my alley
I saw this in Asda earlier today, and thought,"I'll have to grab a couple of those for the booze cupboard. But for now....Fursty Ferret." 😂 I think i'll grab myself a couple of the blonde chouffe ones as well. I'm quite a fan of blonde ales, so should go down a treat. 🙂👍 Glad you enjoyed your drink fella. I love the Belgian Cherry 🍒 beers and La Chouffe does it the best. My mom and I have Belgian ancestry and my mom said “tastes (a bit) like cough syrup” I said “nah tastes like if cherry 🍒 beer.” I love the taste of it and it’s amazing.

Wow, this is a strange one! Never had anything quite like this, really sour and just reminds me of plain cherry lemonade. Definitely more lemonade tasting than beer
I love La Chouffe. On a visit to Amsterdam every bar had it. Not had this though so I'll try to get it online

Yes....this beer is niccce!!! Been drinking them for years!!! And yes I always thought it had a cherry cough medicine vibe aswell..in a nice way!!
Very interested in this review, because we have it at the liquor store I work at, and have had 2 of their other beers (and I loved them).
I don't like these Belgian fruit beers but regular old La Chouffe is one of my all time top 20 I reckon, got myself a nice glass from the brewery which I managed to break after a week.
Great review - however when you pop the cap - that isn't "smoke" coming out - it's super cold CO2 that's been condensed and coming out...
