Hi, I always have trouble with squirrels in my flower pots.
When you get a haircut, keep some of your hair and put it by the flowers
It's the only thing that's worked!!! Sounds crazy but not as crazy as the squirrels drive me!😄
It also is said to work as deer repellent! 🙂
Thanks for the video. I was just talking at lunch today about my desire to keep squirrels out of my pear trees. They don't even like pears! They just bite them and knock them to the ground (and spit out the bite).
That’s just adding insult to injury! I hope some of these tips help you.
Oooh~! This was a great episode, our neighbor loves squirrels and she was FEEDING them shelled peanuts & they would come to all the neighbors and dig, leave the shells all over the place and of course dig into our potted plants! We finally put up a heart trap after all of us neighbors protested (it’s against city ordinance anyway) but with our trap we also saw rats and mice! This is really bad for our homes because these varmits can dig and get into crawl spaces. Our place was like a squirrel freeway, it was driving me crazy!! 🤪
I’m sorry to hear that. We have squirrel feeders here as well. I have to find the culprit but I end up with many a “free” peanut plant. I hope your relocation program helps your situation.
SQUIRREL! 🐿 Lol! Great fun and informative vid, D. 👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great video! Entertaining, quirky AND informative!
My most effective anti-squirrel ‘devices’ are my dogs and cat…
Glad you enjoyed it!
When we used to have bird feeders to entertain our indoor only cats, the squirrels used to empty them out and make a huge mess. So we found a capsaicin additive to mix into the birdseed that was supposed to discourage squirrels and tried it. It worked, except for Spot, a big grey squirrel with a white spot on his/her back, who thought that it was a delightful flavor enhancement! 🤦🏻♀️
We've also found habanero peppers half eaten in the garden. 🤷♀️
Rodents gonna rodent, I guess.
Lol. Sorry to hear you had a squirrel that liked it spicy.
Reminds me of the Marilyn Monroe comedy “Some Like It Hot” so does your squirrel!🐿️
Cat's love squirrels. Most parts are edible......😆
Information, and Entertainment, rolled into one! Awesome! Does this make you a purveyor of Infotainment? Very nice indeed!
That’s my aim! That and to misbehave. 😎 Thank you for watching!
I tried them all, work only for a day or two. Day tree, they are digging right under that allium, chive, garlic, you name it. Cayon paper worked only two days, and day tree all plants were roots up.
I’m sorry you are having such issues ☹️
Squirrels - Grass rats The folks next door leave peanuts out for the Squirrels, if I do not put Chicken wires over my Garden pots, those Grass Rats will bury those peanuts in my pots, and few weeks later I have strange thing growing in my pots
We’ve been “gifted” many a peanut plant in the same way.
