Well done doctor, my thumb and the index finger and the smallest one use to tingle during the day and at night, have seen a doctor and he prescribed some neuropathy medication and still didn't stop, what do I do. Thanks
It might be a good idea to see a physical therapist to get your neck, shoulder, wrist, and hands evaluated to find out where the problem is coming from. Beyond that, I can't really tell you specifically what to do.
The numbness and tingling on my thumb, index and middle fingers , if I do understand came from C6. I am a cook and my head is always inclined downward. Anyway, I followed the exercices that you demonstrated in your other video is very helpful for me . Thank you very much Doctor.
As you can tell from the video, there are many different causes, and the solution for each one is different. So the best thing to do without knowing more would be to see a healthcare professional to find out what's causing it in your case, and what to do for it. Usually the sooner you treat it, the more responsive it is to treatment.
The right side of my nose and right cheek have numbness. My right hand has numbness and a strong tingle/ buzzing. Steady for the past year. Not just top or lower fingers...rather all, whole hand. Stronger buzz at small finger and edge of hand...but still whole hand. No one on line seems to explain all of one hand numb and buzzing. Yes been diabetic for a few years, but no doctors near me have yet figured out my problem.
Sorry to hear that. It depends if both issues are coming from the same cause or two separate causes. However if it's from a single cause, it sounds more central, either a brain issue (the hand and face are next to each other in the somatosenory cortex of the brain, or in the spinal cord near the trigeminal nerve. You'd have to check with a neurologist for further testing though.
I've had problems since I tore my labrum and it didn't heal. Mostly my pointer finger on my left hand. Two of the past 3 days I've awakened at 415am. I'm in Central America. So it's been unpleasant to try to find massage the region to have deep tissue massage. I also have a pinched C2 nerve
If the labrum tore from a shoulder dislocation or subluxation, that can irritate the brachial plexus - the bundle of nerves that runs through the shoulder. I can't specifically tell you what to do for either of the issues as you'd need to have them addressed in person, but I hope you find something that helps.
My Numb index finger started from a pitch nerve in my neck all through my left arm and elbow and hand leaving a numb index finger the pain lasted 2 months ago as i did PT thats gone now! But leaving a numb, vibrating index finger, so its my C6 and median nerve I go for a MIR i hope i will get more info to whats going on thanks.
Hi doctor, I have met an accident and my little finger and ring finger are the same exact numbness and burning sensation. In that case you said that the tunnel in the wrist was like so soft for me not like normal. In that case what should I do?
If you've had an accident and are having numbness in the little finger and ring finger, it would be a good idea to see a doctor as soon as possible. Failure to properly treat it can result in permanent numbness, so make sure to get it checked out.
just saw a comment about trucks, i have a tingly sensation but only at the top of my three fingers, middle finger, thumb and the finger between both of them,i work as an electric pallet jack operator and im not sure if maybe thats the case on why i have it
I keep waking up with my right arm being asleep. Then all for days my tip of my thumb is numb. My neck was hurting before this started. I went to urgent care. All they said was take 400 mg of Ibuprofen. Any advice? I do a physical job. Heavy lifting consent movement. I’m Ariadne to sleep because of it. I don’t want to lose my thumb they ruled out carpoltonal
The tip of the thumb corresponds with the C8 nerve root in the neck. That area does get a lot of stress with manual labor. I can't tell you if that's YOUR problem, but it's something to check out with your doctor. Good luck!
Hi Doc, I have a numbness on my little finger and ring finger appeared randomly, this was started after I take the 2nd dose of my anti rabbies vaccine. Is it possible that the cause of numbness is from side effect of anti rabbies vaccine or is it because of vitamin B deficiency since from day zero i haven't take any food with vitamin b?
I have numbness in middle three fingers at night in both hands and is painful to move and happens only at night . When I move them it gets better . What is the cause and treatment
The middle 3 fingers are supplied by the C7 nerve root from the neck. I can't say what the cause is in your case, but it would be worth checking with your doctor.

@@Bella-mt6lk the thumb, index, and middle finder are all innervated by the median nerve. However, if they're completely paralyzed, I would NOT recommend treating them at home. I'd recommend going to an urgent care or immediate care to get them checked out sooner rather than later.
Carpal tunnel syndrome only affects one hand, although you can have it on both sides at the same time. That said, when people have carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, I always try to rule out a neck problem. This video explains that concept: ua-cam.com/video/dnWlLGvP86w/v-deo.html
That would most likely be from the ulnar nerve, although where exactly along it's path is hard to say. If it's just the tip of the 4th finger (ring finger), make sure there aren't any tightly fitting rings on that finger that may be compressing the digital branch of the nerve in that finger.
I occasionally have numbness in my right hand fingers while sleeping. Which side I have to ( 09.10 hrs of this video) turn my head- left/ right. Please guide.
Most often, it's turning the opposite direction (so left in the case of the right hand), BUT it's not that way for everyone. That's not necessarily the most common cause, but it could. If you do have concerns about a heart blockage, call your doctor and/or go to the emergency room.
There must be 1000's of places on the internet that warn people that feeling numbness is a major symptom of some kind of disease. Too bad that the US food industry and the people's lack of physical activity are the main causes. Consumers must get educated about the causes and not just how to temporarily alleviate the symptoms.
