the scoring explanation is incorrect you don't win "1 point per trick", you win 1 point for that round ... or "2 points per trick", you win 2 point for that round. First team to 10 points (generally) wins the game ... if your team were to take all 5 tricks, and it was "2 points per trick", then the game would be erroneously over.
We play with different rules. instead of agreeing on the lead card as suit, each person calls the number of tricks they can get from there hand. Then the highest bidder calls the suit for the game. if the team doesn't reach the limit they get nothing. Plus the teammate don't know which suit will be called before hand so you need to have a trick off suit or get lucky. plus you can go no trumps in some versions and play heads up. it requires a much more teamwork to win. let the fighting begin.
J of hearts is considered a 'diamond' in this context since it is the other J of the same color as the trump 1:55. So all players have to play a diamond if they have diamond.
This game is like dating...if you don’t have a good partner you better have a good hand.
Here because my friends asked me if I know how to play euchre and I said yes even though I don’t...
I'm here to learn because I like a guy who said he loves this game
