They would attack the intruder bee from the foreign colony. In this case though it’s just a stack of honey frames and not an active colony where they are feeding.
Once bees (and wasps!) get into a robbing frenzy they will attack any weaker hives within their range. I've lost starter colonies due to this. Another reason it's a bad idea is it's a great way for bee parasites and pathogens to spread.
We’ve been letting the bees clean out frames before putting them up for winter for several years and most beekeepers do the same as far as I’m aware. Do you leave your supers wet when stored or an alternative to keep them protected for wax moth or beetles? They are far enough away that we don’t see issues with robbing and we do monitor what’s going on at the bee yard through the day/days we do this
I have not done cut comb but plan to give it a try this next year. I'll do a couple of frames (I only have two hives; planning to split in the spring) and see how it goes. 😅

Wasps remember when people are kind to them. I have a wasp hive that is no trouble to anyone. 🐝 They are so used to me helping them,I tried to shoo them from going under the front porch but ultimately they won 😅 they are the most docile group of bees I've ever dealt with. The carpenter bees cause issues but we try to shoo them away with only one permanent tenant, Tom. The yellow jackets are sketchy folks. They don't bite me, but I get worried and don't let them nest in the yard. Children come first.
The sounds, the giant wasp, the sheer amount of bees in your hand...this is literally everything I have nightmares about. This is why I struggle to be outside in the summer. What kind of witchcraft...
Haha I promise unless you have honey on your hands they will not do this. Be careful of drinking sweet drinks though if you leave them out! I have gotten stung in my mouth that way
Fun fact, bees actually understand the symbiotic relationship between themselves and humans and will make extra honey on purpose when they know that humans are regularly harvesting! They choose to stay in man-made hives because they’re safe and clean, and they give us honey in return ❤

This is not an active hive box, as she said in the video, these are frames that had just been extracted and were left out for the bees to clean up.
@mykellhale you're right I didn't pay close enough attention at first
Once bees (and wasps!) get into a robbing frenzy they will attack any weaker hives within their range.
They are far enough away that we don’t see issues with robbing and we do monitor what’s going on at the bee yard through the day/days we do this
Brother bee keeper is always the most interesting monk at the monastery.
Most insects don't try to attack unless they feel provoked. If you're feeding them they will be nice as long as you're being nice.
Hi Rachel, love your videos! Do you use wax foundation or starter strips or something else?
This frame is a full thin wax foundation meant for cut comb. We use a wedge top and grooved bottom bar. Do you do cut comb as well?
I have not done cut comb but plan to give it a try this next year. I'll do a couple of frames (I only have two hives; planning to split in the spring) and see how it goes. 😅
I'm the total opposite of this video
You get used to it after spending so nuc by one with them 😊
As a man with SEVERE apiphobia yet knows they aren't little murder hobo's...this is both beautiful and HORRIFYING to me, I would literally faint if this many bees were on me T_T
this lady has made me appreciate bees so much more
If there was a dark red paper wasp on my hand I'd be freaking out
The bee's invited an enemy to share their food 😭
That’s the most chill wasp I’ve ever seen
I have gotten stung in my mouth that way
As someone who's greatest fear on the planet is wasps/hornets 100%, i would have been shitting my pants
That wasp sends chills down my spine
Not me being highly allergic to wasp and bees😂
I am amazed how they all love you. You have certainly found your CALLING!
Love your videis in which you cut honeycombs in cute squares and put them nicely.
My instinct was, “oh no don’t pour honey outside…it will attract bees!” 🤣
Thank you for taking such good care of all bees!
The bees wondering where tf their food storage went:
Fun fact, bees actually understand the symbiotic relationship between themselves and humans and will make extra honey on purpose when they know that humans are regularly harvesting! They choose to stay in man-made hives because they’re safe and clean, and they give us honey in return ❤
Those type of wasp are pretty chill from all the times one landed on my leg
Bro the wasp just casually enjoying a free meal with bees
This is so cute! I love that little wasp, she's just hangin out with everyone else ♡
I love bees, but the second I see a wasp. I be sprinting the other way
As a psychotic person I used to have a bee as a friend AT 6-
Most bee species don't care you're there and are chill and harmless unless you threaten them.
Ur like a proud bee parent
Haha I am 😅
Wasps are usually pretty chill until fall months and that's when they get their meanest
The hive bees: FOOD!
That one wasp: LET ME JOIN THE PARTY!
Amazing!! Can see the effect of us taking their food supply from them for ourselves.. thinking all is smooth.. they dont miss it when extracting.. when this is reality.. we just starving them while they do all the work...
By far your the most generous bee keeper I've seen yet by sharing it back 🙏🙌🙌🙌🙌💓💞🎉
I was like 'awww cute bees' then the wasp showed up and my fight instincts kicked in
A lot of people are scared of wasps, but I’ve found them to be reasonably friendly. The ones that live outside my grandma’s house are very chill.
I couldn't with that wasp, bee person, i do want some of that honey though omgoodness it looks so fkn good.
This is so wholesome, my heart is warm.
This is cute. I wish I could keep bee hives cause I think bees are adorable but I’m so allergic to bees- doing that alone would be life threatening XD
People: "wasps are so aggressive!"
Wasp: "don't mind me, just getting a snack and will be on my way soon enough"
I could never😂 I’m terrified of wasps
It’s not really the wasps that ever bother me or the bees, it’s the yellow jackets!
The one wasp tryna blend in
Its funny how a wasp just came up like: "what the bees doi- ooh honey! *licks like bubble from tadc pilot* "
"I decided to bring out another piece of honeycomb..."
*suffocates bees with honey*
Nah idk how you can be calm like that i like bees they are cool especially bumble bees and honey bees they are so cute but IM ABSOLUTELY AFRIAD OF THEM
The wasp read the message, "You mess with our girl, you mess with the entire country" 😂
When I was a child I thought that since bees make honey, wasps must make syrup. 😅
