The 2-6 is a local name for the town of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Also referred to as Fayettenam, or the 'Ville, the southern city is best known for being the hometown of "2014 Forest Hills Drive" artist J. Cole.
The 2-6 Cypher showcases some of the hottest artists from the streets of Fayetteville. Some have went on to chase their dreams in places like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, however they all represent the city that raised them.

Fayetteville was smoking back in 82, 83,84,85,86,87,88 through 96 The Golden Era. The Era I'm from. From The original Cape fear Court all the way up Haymont Hill over to WestOver back across Tiffany Pines. MC Cold Krush was all over that City. Peace to the CCB, CphiG,Melvin Place, Money Making Murk, Bunce Rd, Cumberland Rd Brothers, Savoy Heights, Holywood Heights and all the Projects I used to roam through. I be the only kid in the city with the international Ghetto pass, No gang affiliation, or beef. When Hillcrest Middle School, Reid Ross and West Over boasted the best emcees. I'm glad to see real emcees are still representing with real words ....and not the mumble crap.

Damn I didn't know we had this much talent in our city. I wasn't expecting this cypher to be good as it is. We gotta start supporting our city. To many of us supporting main stream rappers that arn't even good. Look at their lyrics half the shit don't make sense, there's barely any nice metaphors or similes, no wordplay, no stories, all auto tuned. I saw rappers in this that had a different flow instead of the same old usual you hear in most popular raps.
