    Great video mate, will be tying some with wool as opposed to ice dubbing, can't beat natural fibres!

    like the use of the wool. have you tried the acrylic wool? i comb it out and it gives loads of dubbing and winging hair. have seen the merino wool but havn't given it a go yet.

    Hi. Great video. I am in the central coast. Could you tell me where you get the hook stand and the tool you use to tie the knots with. Also the UV glue. There must be a specialty shop you get it from. My thanks Jo

      Joachim Ngiam thanks mate. The vice and tools you can buy from any good tackle store or off the net. The up glue is solar res that you can get from bwc flies.

    Great video mate. Are you using any burley? And what size rod/line and leader?

    • @TheXStreamFly
      @TheXStreamFly  5 років тому +1

      flittyfisher hi mate thanks
      I do not use any burley most fish I can see feeding and love the fly.
      I use a 4 -6 wt and a 8 lb leader.

    I catch a lot of luderick in the traditional manner, usually in more opaque water than the clear stuff you are fishing in. If fishing in an area where fish are not visible, would you use a strike indicator?

    • @TheXStreamFly
      @TheXStreamFly  3 роки тому +1

      Steve Sullivan hi mate, I would not use a strike indicator if the water as darker or they were down deep in the running water as I always keep contact with the fly. The only time I would use one is in it was in still or very slow moving deep water
