Great review! I think Rockville is doing themselves a disservice by not collaborating with UA-camrs. I had noooo idea that this was even a thing, I almost just bought another RTP 32 without even knowing that there was a newer more compact model
2:03… solid video at this point (when you offered up the comparison to the prior model). Now one has clarity in making the right decision on which to buy. THumbs UP! 👍
I said this before, and I will say it again you, my friend are always making the best videos! You are so helpful to the Dj community. You have no idea. Thank you again for a wonderful video. You are always making me strive to be a better DJ thank you Dj Peck.
I do have two of them for five or six months already and I assemble and disasamble them on site. Takes about five minutes. Not so bad. The carry bads are OK but do not push the zippers to hard. I have the room in the Honda Odysey to carry them assembled but the bags are convenient. I really like the look. My speaker stands (8) are on sales. Je regarde continuellement tes vidéo. Merci de donner un élan de classe à notre profession.
@lavishlifeeventsdjpeck I'll be using them for the first time at a wedding on Monday May 15th and that's my plan to take them fully assembled. I'll be sure to post a gig log on it. Thanks again!
I have a truck but since the original ones don't fit inside when I had to load everything inside due to rain, I would put them in the back and cover them with trash bags. This is definitely something I will look into.
You inspired me to grab 4 of these. Love them. I'm going to rock them like my boy DJ Peck and use the wash hex lights. Now I just gotta get as good at mixing as DJ Peck!!! Inspiration!
I have to assemble the kit I bought the 2 Rockville totems the box says 150lbs probly because it's steel vs aluminum. Would be putting 2 u-king 24 led bars on the legs using adj clamps.
Hi Peck I am trying to see if I can have one of these RTPGO fit in my suitcase flying back to europe. What is the length of the feet once disassembled? Description says 31.5 but I think thats the total length boxed when buying it new
Can you share a video on how to wire totems for moving heads nice and tidy? I can't seem to find any video on UA-cam about this. Mine takes ages to do when setting up
I just bought a pair of the novo pro ps1 xl. If Rockville stuff was easy to get in Canada I’d have bought these. I love the novo pro tho. I’m always looking for more gear to buy.
What is the height difference between the rtp go and the rtp 32 at the lowest heights? Rockville claims they are both 39” but there is a difference in your video for sure. Thanks for your videos.
Thanks for this video. Ive been going back and forth about getting the RTP-32 vs RTP-GO. After looking at this video I am leaning to the RTP-GO. But in the video, when you extended the RTP-GO, the top base plate doesnt look level. It looks a little slanted. I wanted to know if that is a defect in the product, or was it just not screwed down tight enough to make it lavel. Thanks for any feedback.
Thanks for the video seriously considering these how high do they get once fully extend it. Do you feel this is tall enough? Also, how do you connect or sit your moving head on the totem so they don’t slide off or fall. Thanks
George ! How are doing my good sir....these get as high as the original versions (tall enough in my opinion)...There is a hole in the center to attach any fixtures + it comes with an attachment
Peck! I’m looking into totems now for my Lavish booth and wanted to get your opinion. Does this RTP Go set up at a good height for mounting the booth on it? Or do you use the RTP32W for that? Online it says 39” at it’s lowest, which would be a great height but I’m wondering mostly because the Go looks a lot shorter than the totem you’re comparing it to in the vid. Thanks for the advice as always!!
I've used both and they are basically the same. The GOs are definitely adjustable to the height you need, more so than the RTP32W because they can go lower...it's very flexible
@@lavishlifedjs thank you for the reply my man. That’s great to know! I will probably go with the RTP Go then, that portability factor is awesome. Thank you for making this video!
Yes sir…I’ve used them always every weekend since posting the video…going strong I use on these for my totem stand for my booth BTW, love that gigbar mod using the washes
@@lavishlifedjs awesome! I’ll be ordering these this weekend! Im selling my Novopros because man they are too big and heavy! Thank you for watching the video my friend!
You did not mess up. There have been a few improvements to make it more mobile Dj friendly. Mainly, imho, it’s more compact/shorter when fully assembled which makes it much better and easier to transport in that form (this will save a ton of time not having to set up ). The other things are the base is separated in to 2 pieces, the components have changed as well and are built better. I had and used the original one for 4 years and have no complaints. You will be happy either way.
@@lavishlifedjs how long have you had it, what is the year of the model ? And if you can mention any other cars that are good buys for mobile DJs like us... i'm looking to upgrade from my hatchback Toyota Yaris to something that will allow me to bring more gear and do still have room to take an assistant with me.
My wife had the 2017 Pacific and later got the 2020 Pacific. I totted 2 BassBoss SSP118s, 2 BassBoss DV12s, facade, table, bags, controller, uplights, and a few other things all in one haul. It was loaded but did quite well.
Nice economical product if being used for office display of small movers, small events, and if transported assembled (which defeats the space saving purpose). One of my guys bought a pair. Not ideal for screens or regular sized movers. A rocking dance floor will have these swaying and have you nervous if you put a screen or mover on them. Space saving? YES, Time efficient? Definitely NOT. If you have to build & collapse this thing at the gig, give yourself extra time. Cool telescoping, size adjusting stand but I wouldn't recommend it for professional use.
As far as I can see: 1) bottom plate split in 2 2) there are no longer fixed screwing points on the base plates, the bolts go straight through the whole plate which makes it much stronger. On my totems all fixed screwing points broke off so I had to replace them all with bolts.
@@djkb9596 , I use the Novopro PS1XXL which are a copy of the original Rockville totems. I would go for the RTP-GO , only problem for me is that delivery from USA to Belgium costs as much as a set of 2 totems....

Daryl ! What’s up bro. Fan of your page. You should do a review on it too !
I agree with you though !
The faster the setup and tear down the better, plus the space saving makes them a no brainer.

Because of the multiple joints, these feel slightly less stable but still functional
How well do they work with the wash fx hex lights on the totem weight wise
Very well, use them all the time on these totems
