If you’re new to my channel, my name is Eric Deng. I’m a performance coach, ultimate frisbee athlete, and founder of Ultimate Academy. It’s a community-driven program dedicated to helping busy frisbee players achieve their goals faster, with more ease, and without unnecessary sacrifice. Our members consistently hit new milestones in their game while staying motivated and supported.
Here's how I got here:
20: Left my 5-year-long role as a badminton coach.
21: Played in my FIRST ever ultimate frisbee tournament.
21: Got cut from University nationals.
21: Trained for 6 months, applying the processes I taught as a badminton coach.
21: Made Under-24 Team Australia after just 6 months of training.
21: Won Australian mixed nationals.
22: Made the premier Australian opens club, Sydney Sunder, on my first try.
22: Coached Australian university nationals.
23: Created Ultimate Academy to help busy ultimate frisbee athletes find community and improve through personalized calls and plans.
Today: Ultimate Academy is home to a growing community of busy & passionate frisbee players who are reaching new heights in their games every day. With regular development calls, accountability systems, and a supportive network, we’re building the ultimate place to be for busy frisbee players to achieve their potential.
To all the ultimate players striving to make a bigger impact out on the field, I hope these resources will help you take at least one step in the right direction towards your goals.
You really can do this.

Nice video mate. Congrats on winning Newcastle Gold Cup
Thank you!
When I was getting into competitive playing again, I noticed I was taking some of my dance footwork onto the field. Have you heard of "grapevine"? Looks like a warmup move the soccer players used to do.
@@IngL-l2r Yep! We use grapevine often! Great warm up. Are you still playing now?
First Matt Lam, now K-Tong. Canadian community likes you for sure
hahaha - ohh Canadaaa~
How are you speaking so far off the camera and the audio is still crystal clear? Do you have a mic setup on you whilst moving?
Yes! I have a Bluetooth microphone set up on my shirt (you might be able to see it if you look closely).
