Here is the original intro of kaido battle 3/Kaido Racer 2/tokyo xtreme racer drift 2.
I use the original intro quality and upscale it into 4K using AI upscaler and adobe after effect.
The original video had a resolution of 640x440 at 29,97fps.
i upscale it into 4K resolution at 30fps.
I didn't use 60fps because it's useless when the source is 30fps and can produce glitch, i prefer to kept the original quality as much as possible.
It was tons of work but in the end i'm happy with the results.
There will be other video in the future, if there is any request don't hesitate to ask me.

Seriously. This intro perfectly captured late 90’s/early 2000’s Japanese car style/aesthetic, which is likely peak “JDM’ness” in terms of how in sync the scene was to their natural surroundings, and how accessible and cheap aftermarket parts were.
@@beeter3588 Yeah, but it died down thanks to offroad reserves all around the world. Now if they would take the hint and make more Touge tracks around the world.
Too sad we'll never be able to enjoy the full version of this song, but this will forever remain as the most pleasing and gorgeous game intro ever made

@@RoseVine748 no, Dakota Star was a band that did some sucess in Japan during early 2000s, the main Singer has a youtube channel and was able to talk a bit about the band but she dont know she is some-what famous on racing comunity beacuse her songs

I genuinely choke up when I watch this intro. Like I actually lose it. It's so beautiful and it's one of the best racing games ever made. I'll never forget it.

When I bought kaido racer 2 for $8, I saw this intro, and something told me not to return the game, so at the time I sucked and just put it away. then later I played again and loved it

Same ! This intro is great even for today, nostalgica feeling hit hard as well. This channel will become bigger and bigger with the plan to remastering mostly all the intro of racing game. My goal is to become the biggest channel about Game Intro Remastering but sadly it's need lot of time so it's will be little by little :)

@@samfisher2141 it's one of a kind series. I always appreciated how unique it was. Countless features and customizations. The new racing games devs should take notes from TXR3 alone. That game was ahead of its time.
Unfortunately, there aren't as many racing games nowadays. I mean, just look at how many racing games we've had back in the day! It's kinda sad.
SEGA GT was also a unique series. Especially the first one on the Dreamcast. Just the fact that you can build you own car and name it, makes it extremely special.

Nabel Bantog Dakota Star really got me in TXRD2, I booted this game up last week after years of not playing and man, nostalgia hit me like a truck when the intro played.
It’s a shame that Daiki Kasho never released a full version of this song.

Cant tell if its my inner car guy or the quality of this game but i always tear up at this intro.
I have never played this game before, but after watching this I'm going to order a copy of Tokyo Extreme Racer 2! The music is so beautiful, and I love how it transitions from a calm to sort of rockish style.

This brought back memories of me playing this on my PS2 ages ago. Gave me chills after seeing this beautifully upscaled intro! I wish they made a sequel of this game with these elements now. Loved this one. :)
GRP (or Genki Racing Project) has other games like these as well. In Japan they go by Shutoku Battle and Kaido Battle, but in the west it's Tokyo Xtreme Racer and Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Drift (TXR has 3 installments, as TXR:D has 2). The former focuses more on high speed highway racing at speeds of 200mph+, and the ladder focuses on mountain touge racing battles, Initial D style. Both can be good fun depending on what you're looking for.
Anyways, what i'm saying is that there are plenty of games made by GRP that you can try out and are a lot of fun.
TL:DR a quick lesson on the tokyo xtreme racer games and that there are more than just this one that are a fun play

In my own canon the yellow NSX and blue R34 are from the TXR Zero intro. When they appear here they are shown in Tokyo so it could mean that this was the intended connection. After being bitter rivals they team up after beating everyone on the Tokyo Highways and go to the countryside to take on the red S14 in the mountain. I’m not sure who the Supra is 😂.

There is multiple upscaller you can try, esrgan, waifu2X, gigapixel, creative ai, there is bunch of them. Understand that you need a super powerfull computer if you want it to render the frame fast. So don't worry if it's take you 4 or 12 hour for like 3000 frame of a video. As well the upscalling can be bad depends of how is the original footage, so it's important to had the most clean raw source possible.
