Jeff Bridges should have won an oscar for his portrayal.

This movie was powerful. Which stired many emotions within me. I will forever cherish this sweet masterpiece of a movie. And it should have received many awards. Just brilliant. And special.

What's not _fair_ is Columbia excluding this Legacy Promo B-T-S from US [audiences]; Specifically, this _"Making of Starman"_ featurette (10:51) only offered in Europe & Australia (or every Region but US; where Columbia published this SD-DVD). Albeit, they've completely redacted it from any (further) BD/1080p offerings.
What's really, *_really_* unfair is the primary-feature film's lack of restoration, (still) restricted to FHD (1080p/AVC MPEG-4) BD-50 -- when a new negative 2K telecine is so deserving, if only, absolutely necessary already.
