- Revelatory interview with an Australian journalist in 1985 with an unguarded Paul McCartney talking about John Lennon - at one point he stops the interview - giving true insight into the depth of their relationship. McCartney also answers questions about Beatles influences, recording techniques and the state of music in 1985
I like that this interviewer asks a question and lets Paul answer it without interruption. Well done.
That's my former boss, very talented man, Jaan 'John' Torv. RIP

How people can watch this and say that it isn’t Paul is beyond me. I’ve watched every Beatles clip I can get my hands on over the years continuously. The people that say this must be daft. You see the little boy in him as he grows even today at 80. The little mannerisms and expressions - he’s right there and they’ve missed out on him as the amazing solo artist I’ve loved all my life as I was born 4 years after the group broke up. Disgusting and sad.
The world is full of stupid people. Unfortunately.
absolutely
I don't think anybody seriously considers that conspiracy lmao.
@@electricmaster23 sadly SOME of them REALLY DO believe it. I am DEFINITELY NOT one of them. It's total rubbish!!!
Just compare a photo of Paul in 1965 to a photo of him in 1967, definitely NOT the same person.
You can see the pain in his face and eyes when he talks about John. Paul is good at hiding emotions but sometimes you can tell.
They would have becomes friends again in the 80's....
Lennon could not stand Billy/Faul/ Macca 2. I am not even sure if the real Lennon was shot. He may have had a double shot so he could escape from show biz and have his own quiet life back. The more you do research into the whole Beatles matter the fishier it gets.
They pretty much did reconcile mid seventies
@@MisterTMH cause it's a crazy rabbit hole theory, it's iterated upon so many times and so you will find insanely convincing stuff. I put the Faul theory permanently on the shelf when I saw voice spectrum analysis of Paul vs the supposed Faul.
70s Dingus. John was killed in 1980.

Nonsense
“REALLY having some kind of a violent reaction” said with a little smile. I hadn’t seen this before.
I've just heard the song 'Here Today'. Knowing that it was a tribute to John makes it even more sad and beautiful of a song. Rest in peace John and George.
What an excellent interview. Especially the very humble bit about recognising other musical influences.
Great Paul talk, thanks for the share
It is so absolutely Paul.
It earlier than 85 more like 82
There's a cut at 50 seconds in. Wish we had that part too!
This is good.Mccartney is well spoken and insidesly talented.A true musical God.
Very interesting Paul interview ❤
La entrevista es de 1982,en un alto del la filmación del video de Ebony snd Ivory (Versión 12")
👍🏻
Do you have the name of this interviewer or the channel this was aired on?
I’m wondering if it is Liam Bartlett. An Australian journalist.
@@allymayful Ok, the reason I couldn’t find it is because the date in the title is wrong. This was actually from 1982, filmed February 11th and broadcast on Good Morning Australia April 11th-15th. Then it was rebroadcast on other channels around the world. The interviewer is John Torv.
Or is it Richard Wilkins?
I imagine his brain switched off answering this garbage..
Yoko killed John before he was actually dead
You spelt William Shepherd wrong.
The Sheeple do not want to know what is clearly obvious to those who have a brain and eyes in their head. Faul / Billy is not JPM.
Spelt isn’t a word either
I think maybe there were two spellings used? Maybe they meant different things? Maybe just a message being relayed?
@@jennywren9068 it is if your ancestors originated the English language.
@@wyverntheterrible learn how to spell- the past tense of spell is spelled not spelt. Spelt is a wheat flour
Faul come clean..
