One manufacturer (I think Admiral) even produced shirts based on rival companies' designs for teams not on their roster, obviously without their rivals' logos or club badges. My first replica shirt was the England home kit, made by Admiral, used between 1980-83, which I received at Christmas 1980. I've still got the shirt!

There was also the rival Match magazine, which my brother used to buy.
