- I am feeling a lot better that we are going to get everything done before the season now that I have a mechanic helping me in the shop. He handled some wiring and I knocked out some fabrication and welding. Enjoy

he brought ina plastic tool box give me a break mechanics don't use plastic tool boxes bought at walmart. ryan getting simpleton stuff done that darryl would have been doing
What a difference young Nathan makes. Someone that doesn’t needed to be taken by the hand every 5 minutes, just a breath of fresh air.
He arrived with his preferred electrical tools, and that included a power probe.....he is a keeper.
I know Daryl is a friend of yours but it's refreshing to see you being able to focus on the task at hand while another task is being competently done in the background. You have a great concrete crew and it's nice to see you now have a great shop crew.

Nathan seems motivated and is able to understand stuff that you need. That’s good. Nothing worse than needing to babysit a helper. Might as well just do it yourself. Hopefully he works out for the team Ryan.

When Dan walked in the shop and told Ryan he had a couple questions Nathan grabbed a rag and went straight back to work. That right there says A lot about himself. Hard to find that in people these days!

It’s so refreshing to see someone who cares about the appearance and functionality of their fleet and machines, from someone who works for a company that neglects everything they own until it breaks, it’s so nice to see you take care of your stuff, also you and Nathan make a great fit, maybe help him get his cdl and you’d have a great addition to your team this season.
Worked for a couple companies like that. Finally at a place that’ll fix it with a dedicated mechanic or buy a new one. Shoutout Heath!

Ryan i just wanted to say this. Ive been watching your channel for about a year or so and I love it. I've never done or even been interested in doing concrete. But I'm stuck your channel like glue lol. I can't stop watching lol. Today is my 1 year wedding anniversary yet here I am here watching this lol. I find myself excited for concrete season lol. Anyways, keep up the amazing work that you guys do.

You remind me of my late husband. He, too, had talented hands (as I call itI). He was a machinist by trade, but could do or make just about anything with his hands. He'd sit out on the backyard swing with paper & pencil and think and draw. I don't think we ever hired anyone to do anything around the house and yard, even to his building patio, carport, and workshop. My 2 brothers would show up to help with heavy 2-man stuff; otherwise he did it all by himself.

As somebody who managed two auto shops for multiple years, I can tell you with lots of confidence that guys like Nathan are very far and few between. A diamond in the rough. Retain that man while you still can, because they're in ultra high demand...and that demand will continue to grow year after year. Create a competitive and beneficial package for him, and the return on investment will be beyond what you can think of. He thinks on his feet, he's honest in both a genuine friend way, but also in his abilities and knowledge. He'll tell you what you need even if you don't like the answer, because that's the information he's worked hard to obtain. At the same time, he seems humble and values integrity, which is also a rarity in the mech world. Too many times, a mechanic will know his value and the ego will follow, creating an elitist attitude that's toxic to the environment...especially one that you've carefully honed for many years. That doesn't seem to be the case with him.
Again, lock him up. I'd have moved mountains to have just ONE of him in all my years running a shop.

That type of electrical work is what my Pop's and I work on on a daily basis. We're both diesel technicians (primarily semis), but we mostly do electrical work (finding and fixing electrical issues). We are pretty well known across many shops in the Chicago area. Anyways, love your content man, keep it up.

I really like haw you use the wheel barrow as a multifunctional tool. LOL The new mechanic seems to be a real asset, not only did he get the wiring done quicker than you thought he would he tested them aswell, I say hold on to him Ryan he's a good one. 👍👍👍👍👍

Long time viewer, this is my second video with Nathan in it. I really like him so far. He seems to be a very good worker, and knowledgeable. I really hope he works out with Ryan and crew. He also seems very confident of himself.

When my son was in his early 20s he had to prove himself and he did. Fast forward to today , in his mid 40s he is an ace heavy line mechanic and never has trouble finding a job even during covid shut down. You've got a good man there.
All he's has to do is show up when he us told to and he's a keeper !!!! Actually fixing things is a huge bonus !!!
I have worked for my dad for 13 years, it’s been absolute brutal. I stride to be a boss like you someday Ryan.
Being the boss isn't as great as you think it is but a good thing to strive for, learn from your father and enjoy the time you have as it goes fast.

Nathan is a superstar. A normal working class mechanic. Always has a smile nd hard work attitude. He's not dropping or damaging anything.

Ryan, I own a fab shop and I cut 3/4” and 1” plate with my Milwaukee saw. It’s one of my favorite tools. Also Nathan is a winner dude. Utilize him on the crew all year round somehow.

I think anyone who works in a shop can relate to the “pick it up and set it down” issues. I’ve found a rolling utility cart works great for this issue. It becomes a “catch all” but at least it’s usually in the same spot near your work area
So nice to have that young energy around defo Ryan hired a guy with a good energy about him.

Hello Mr Ryan, greetings i have been watching your videos from day one and enjoyed them very well, i wished i was in the USA, i would like to work for you. as i am in the uk, in my humble opinion you need a soley static metal table to do all your welding, scewing , polishing, and cutting at waist height instead onf kneeling on the floor with 4 metal clamps or two small vices on the side, , your Garage is big enough for that. in one of the corners in your shop. cheers Hans.

For the black plastic restore I use Cerakote Ceramic Trim Coat Kit it works so good!!! Super shiny and last a long time, easy to apply it seriously works great!! Best plastic trim restorer i have found
