I am in love with these! Being a sewer since I was nine and a quilter for the past 30 years, this is just perfect to make for my latest "sewing" junk journal! Thank you so much for the freebie and tutorial!
I manage an arts and crafts store and have hundreds of buttons. Recently I decided to sew buttons that match on card stock so they would be more interesting than just putting them on a string. The cards are perfect and will up the presentation. I was glad to see you had some difficulty sewing the buttons on too. I jest keep getting the thread and card all tangled.
Great Video. Amazing faux buttons, can really dress up your ephemera clusters and match so nicely with your journals. Your free vintage button cards are awesome!! Thanks for sharing.
Love your video, when I'm using cardboard that has a polished finish I use sandpaper all over just to take off the shine a bit. I do this before cutting out my shapes
These came out great! Thanks for the freebie and the inspiration! I can't believe how great they look - Terrific tips for wonderful pieces of ephemera!
I have to tell you that you have BLOWN me away!!!! These are AMAZING!!! I love the old button cards but they are impossible to find and then when you do find them you don't want to waste them on projects. I've always wondered how it might be possible to create something similar. Yours are just INCREDIBLE!! And THANK YOU for the great freebie!!!.I just can't say enough!!!
Thank you so much for the kind words, Konnie! I agree, you don’t want to mess around with the original ones for projects all the time. I’m so glad that you like them.
Thanks so much for the freebie! I just got my button die this week and this is perfect timing. They printed out beautifully and I know I'll use them in every journal!
Those are amazing! Thank you and I am trying to follow along! I cringe at the fact I tossed so many epherma sewing things after using them! Ah if I had known about digi art!
Thanks so much, Lorraine! I'm not sure why you were unable to get the freebie. After you put in your name and email, the page should redirect you to another page where the PDF is that you can download. Were you able to get to the page to put your email in?
Is 'glitter glue' a brand name? The only glitter glue I can find in Australia has sparkles in it, which I don't want. I love your buttons and button cards.
It's actually called "Art Glitter Glue" - you can find it at the link below - but not sure if it translates to Australian (amzn.to/3cZuqNb). It's a water based adhesive that dries clear.
Hi Carole! If you are talking about the whole punches, I used to create the buttons. I used the half inch punch is this one amzn.to/41OoctQ and the 1 inch punch is this one amzn.to/334pKSW Hope that helps!
This is the best idea I’ve seen in ephemera. You are brilliant. I’m going to make these for sure!
Thanks so much 😊
This is the cutest idea ever. I love it. Thank you for the free printout too. I will definitely be making some for my journals!❤💕

I love these buttons, Thank You. Is there any other way to make them glossy as I don't have embossing powder?
Thanks! You could try to use mod podge, a glossy medium or glossy accents to make them glossy.
You could also use UV resin for the same kind of results
Thank you so much for the freebie! I love it. Your buttons are beautiful.
You are very welcome, Janice! Enjoy!
Oh I love these. Great job. I did try and download the freebie 3 times but nothing happens. Not sure why. Thanks for sharing these though x

i just love this may i ask were you got your glue bottle from that would be so great to use that way ty so much
Thanks! The bottles I'm using here are icing bottles - they work great for this. If you'd like to take a look, they are here: amzn.to/48cEnDU
💜💜💜💜
Where did you get the hole punch tools?😊
I think I got them at AC Moore…many many years ago!
Did you get your hole punch for the buttons on Amazon? Could you let us know what brand they are please?
Hi! So glad you asked - I did get them from Amazon. Here's the link for the 1.25mm one: amzn.to/3QVLIkH I also have a 1.8mm one.
Love the buttons, can't find the freebie of the cardds. are they gone?
They are still there! Just go to madpapercrush.com/buttoncards to grab yours!
this is so great may i ask were to get the 2 hold punch that you use to put the holes in
Hi Carole! If you are talking about the whole punches, I used to create the buttons. I used the half inch punch is this one amzn.to/41OoctQ and the 1 inch punch is this one amzn.to/334pKSW Hope that helps!
hi ty but it was for the holes in your buttons there so perfect so i was asking how you got the 2 holes in your buttons@@MadPaperCrush
@@carolouimet2851 gotcha! I used this punch (amzn.to/3uNe2IJ) to make the holes in the buttons and I just eyeballed their placement.
Could I use diamond glaze instead of embossing powder?
While I haven’t tried that, I believe that it would work!
How did you get the button cards so stiff?
I just printed them on heavy cardstock. If you don't have that, you could back them with a light weight cardboard, like recycled packaging or a box.
Could these actually work on clothes? Thanks.
I don't think that would work. Since they are made from paper, they would probably fall apart if they got wet.
This freebie didn’t print right for me. I only had issues with this one and no others. Sorry
I'm sorry to hear it, Wendie. Not sure what happened - this is the first I've heard of any problems.
