I noticed that you adjusted the tone on the bridge pickup. I wired this set in my strat and did it by the EMG instructions, but I can only adjust the tone on the middle and neck single pickups. Is there something I'm missing?
Bobby Rains I don’t install stuff myself on my guitars, so it’s hard to say. If you installed the set yourself take it to the doctor. I can only confirm that both the knobs did their job. I am sorry I can’t be of better help
Bobby, normally the tones would be wires so that the humbucker has a tone, and the to SA’s would have another shared tone pot. Are you sure you didn’t follow the instruktion for the humbucker, When working on the singlecoils?
You're welcome! Thank you very much for the information! i found a set like this in a very good price and i was in doubt about how it sounds without boosters, you showed me it sounds great!
I’m curious. On a stock Fender HSS the humbucker is split when the switch is between the bridge and middle pickup. Are EMG’s set up that way or can they be set up that way? Nothing on their website about that. Thanks!
A luthier installed them for me. As my strat was not "active pickups" ready, he had to carve a pocket in the back of the body to place the 9v battery. Newer guitars are often active pickups ready meaning they can host a 9v battery without the doctor doing surgery to the instrument. Hope it helps, ciao, M
Great demo, man! You nailed the usage scenarios perfectly.
Great tone man!
Thanks man! Just what I was looking for! Best Regards!
Just ordered these for my Musicman Cutlass
I noticed that on the two clean clips at the end, the bridge/middle combination actually sounded as if it had more gain.
I love it....sold
That s good sound
