There was nothing to be gained by abandoning his post that would be worth him leaving his crew short handed. What did he do after looking at those files? Run up to the person that would have noticed him going A-wall and shouted for answers. What did he expect him to say? I was half expecting the commander to take out a gun and just shoot him. I would have assumed he was a spy.

I think it's implied that the square is the pneumatic drill that they sent down but I think the crack in the four may have been away for them to open it when it's down there almost like a sacrifice. That way they can easily deal with people that ask too many questions while also appeasing the creature

It's not really implied. It's more or less confirmed. Since the hodder is the hydrolic operated deep drill, the podder obviously is the pneumatic operated deep drill. And even tho your theory for the sacrifice is interesting and i can see it fitting to the story, i don't think it would be possible to open any kind of door outwards at these depth because the pressure is just too high

    Someone would havr told someone.
    No, they all just "dissapeared".
I dont like solutions in storytelling made out of shortcuts to logic...

...i liked the story but making a lot of the people sound like pirates from the 17th century really grated on my nerves and seemed anachronistic to the point of humor. Not a put down but well intended criticism...

You should credit the original author of this story. Unless it’s yours of course. Either way, make it clear in the description for the love of god so that GOD FUCKING FORBID we actually like this story and want more from the author we can follow them accordingly 🙃

    Spoiler Alert:
I have a really hard time feeling bad for these people lol from the sound of it, this thing is doing them and all of humanity a solid by standing guard on top of the "gateway" or "portal". They even say they're terrified of what may exist on the other side! So, maybe, instead of f*cking with it while it slumbers and hibernates, maybe just leave it alone.. Don't mess with it! 😂

This is not true, I’ve seen a few in 4K, however, even on the big screen TV the upscaled 1080p feed was better then the 4K stream from YT itself. Also the channel I watched this stopped uploading on 4K. Maybe it was test and YT stopped?

This is a copy of another story but just changed a few things. If they copied you I'm sorry but I think they were the original one and if so this is really fucked up just reposting a story with a little twist so it doesn't seem like you stole it.
