IYFFE broke up, Halo Nova is Varien (ironic, right?), TVDS is Atmofearz, Rundfunk is part of Televisor. GQ is returning, I believe, but some of the artists you pointed out didn't "disappear" at all, they just don't upload to Monstercat anymore.
Most are still on here but havent released new stuff yet as they are working on new styles, others have moved onto new labels and finally some have simply stopped making music for their own reasons. For specific answers to certain artists, simply reply and ask.

The Monstercat family is constantly changing and you should accept that. No one can force an artist to continue producing (for Monstercat). Personally, I'm happy to meet new arists with different styles. (Also, some of them might run under another name/group etc. like TVDS => Atmozfears)

Getting played at events does help but it's mostly just Tristam's reputation at this point. All of his songs since I remember have over a million views, add the mythical Braken and you're bound to reel in views
Looks like you just enjoy this more than frame of mind, some people like frame of mind more than this, every song deserves to be noticed some just get noticed more than others, it is just people curiousity, taste and the fact that an artist is more well known that makes a difference in views. You just need to be able to distiguish your personal of what is good from what is well made, good music.

I just don't like wubs wubs really. Which is pretty common in dubstep. I prefer house/electro/dnb. Dubstep is not really my thing.
To each their own. Chillstep is a nice variant of dubstep that's easy to like.

As someone who is not a fan of dubstep, this is quite honestly one of the most epic and beautifully composed dubstep tracks I've ever heard.
The best Monstercat release of 2014! This song is expressive and Varien mixes it well.
BlueSilverMC Monstercat doesn't make the best songs of the year decisions. You vote for your favorite song although i believe they curve a few songs in and remove others even though they won within the top 30 slots.

At first when I listened this song, I was like "meh, ok"
But now, things are different. You can see Varien's touch combined with Sirensceol very well in this track! Especially the drop. And the vocals, holy cow, they combine perfectly with the song!

Really sad that Terlia got uncredited though she must've recorded herself with the violin rather than actually being with the other artists but I'm glad she was still technically a part of it 💙💙🧡🧡
