The 1915 recording of the Lakme Flower Duet used in this video is sung by two Russian sopranos in the flat operatic style that was popular over 100 years ago. You can find it on UA-cam. It’s EXACTLY the same in the mv. The rumor going around that it’s Dimash is sweet, but wishful thinking. 💕💕💕

The song is absolutely excellent , and as always beautifully carried through BUT I found the video quite disturbing to be honest. I'm surprised that he would entertain something like this as it goes against his beliefs all about the un-dead. As a believer I find some of the re-actions on other UA-cam Channels quite upsetting. People are saying this is excellent, bordering on the demonic - super dark - occult - and other descriptions that I would rather not repeat. As I said, no-one could fault his performance of this song and his voice is outstanding, and I saw him on video onstage singing this song and it was totally different and he was dressed in all white and it was such a beautiful love song. He made this to appeal to the western, i.e. American, audiences. It doesn't matter what anybody believes, it has nothing to do with anyone's belief system. I do have to say I don't normally watch anything to do with vampires, ghosts, the occult, or werewolves etc. This is a presentation and is exceptionally well done, as is everything he does. I expect the next production will be something entirely different .

But after over a week of hearing the song many times every day, I have come to accept it and even finding it sweet. Many reactors have noted the vampire intimidation is opposed to what is really a love song. He is singing of sweet love. It doesn’t fit with the costumes and stage setting. I wish I could soothe away all your disappointment and confusion with him and the overall tone of this video.
