Did Jeanne adopt the kids from Dean's first marriage? I know Dean got custody of them so Jeanne raised them when Dean was not home. I skimmed through an interview by Deana Martin and she called Jeanne her mother, which I think is telling on the type of person Jeanne was.
I don't believe she ever did legally adopt them. I'm not a fan of Jeanne in any way, shape, or form. I think some of the kids had more positive experiences with her than others. Perhaps because Deana was a baby practically when they got married it was easier for her to transition. Craig Martin ran away from home at some point, and Jeanne was annoyed at the burden of his kids being there. She wanted to send them off to boarding school in stereotypical step mother fashion, but I don't think that happened. I find it strange that no one ever calls Jeanne a homewrecker, when she literally was, and no one calls out Dean for leaving 4 small children at home, yet Jerry gets abuse over leaving 6 grown sons. It's weird. I will say it was alluded to in a book on Dean that he was trapped into marriage by Jeanne pretending she was pregnant, otherwise I don't think he would have married her. Jeanne also trapped him when he left her for several months in 1953, this time with an actual pregnancy, Ricci. This is one of the times where he stayed at Jerry's house for like a month, as well as other friends places. Jeanne often complained in magazines about her relationship with Dean and how they had nothing in common. Now at some point I think her and the kids got along, and she had good moments with Dean to be fair. But I can't say that I like her at all.

@@Donazify always wondered if she kinda got in the way on M&L although I think Dean would of gotten tired either way.
Jaeni was a wonderful mother for thé 6 chidren of Dean. Ans her Rip 😭😭💞💝💖💟💗❤💚💙💓😇👍👍👏👏👏🌠
