Great to see you two sailors and that you are enjoying yourself together. Greetings from southern Denmark and Beneteau oceanis 390 Enjoy the rest of the sailing season
Greetings to you from Newfoundland, Canada. You as well... . I have a 22' Sailmaster that I believe was designed in Demnark back in the 1960s; a future referb project. Thanks for connecting.
Good to hear from you. I remember my grandfather would, on occasion, bake salt pork buns. They were like raison tea buns with pork instead of raisons. I think it was the only thing I ever saw him cook or bake. I guess nan refused to make them for him lol.
Re the anchor mooring and that metal thimble I find that if you put the rope thru the thimble a 2nd time , making a wrap thru the thimble Then this prevents the rope from chafing, especially if you leave the boat on the mooring for a few days.
@@edwardfinn4141yes that’s an option for sure and I did have chaffing before I added some clear tubing to the Bow cable zero chafing ever since. Nice chatting with you and appreciate your ideas!
Been missing your videos. Glad to see you back... Someone told me one time, and I'm not sure it's true, that Moose are not indiginous to Newfoundland? If that's so, How the heck did you get them there? Be well and enjoy the great weather.
That is indeed true. Moose were intentionally introduced via ship, to the island in the early 1900s I believe to provide another protein source for folks. Since then they've multiplied to substantial numbers... I think around 100,000 at some point (don't quote me lol). These days they are as a part of Newfoundlandia as anything else is. The down side is that they do wreak havoc on our highways as many people have been killed or injured due to collisions with them. Thanks for connecting. Take care
You guys still kissing the codfish? You know car vs moose was a big part of the plotline in the book"The Shipping News". Good read If you're into that... take care.@@newfoundsailing
you should practice man over board recovery , throw buoy into the water pretend its one of you and let the other do all the work and thinking getting back to pick buoy , its fun and is important practice pass,s a couple hours time , no one gets on my boat without instruction and having a go , could save my life if its me in the water ,especially if they never done sailing , things go wrong very quick when it does
Windows look awesome. Nice upgrade!
Fantastic!! Perfect day on the water. Nice thermos too.
Yessir it was a good day indeed.

Not a bad idea. I guess more rope is better. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@newfoundsailing not more rope, I meant put the rope thru the eye a 2nd time…
Making a double loop.
Preventing chafe I think.

This is something that we have talked about, but haven't gotten around to doing yet. It is a great idea. Will do. Thanks for the reminder.
