Without the silly music & sound effects, this scene is brutal. It's like you're there, in that room, and reality just kicked in. So all you have is silence, a man who went insane, and pure fear.
I really wish they kept in that extended animation of Ren ripping out the imaginary arm, the way it becomes difficult for him to pull it out makes it look so much more brutally gruesome and hilarious.
This really makes Ren & Stimpy feel like a fever dream. Well, more than usual, at the very least. Just silence aside from the voices makes it much more eerie than it would be otherwise. Still, great find!
It's really interesting seeing a workprint of one of the episodes. I can kinda hear Billy's Stimpy voice come out of Sven's mouth in the part where he jumps into the litterbox with Stimpy and I never noticed that before. I could also hear Stimpy's little goofy noises in the beginning after he got kicked in the head a lot more clearer and I swear that scene was shorter in the final but it's been a while. Thanks for uploading.
Without the music, Ren's angry scene almost feels like something out of a creepypasta...especially combined with the ending of the episode (To make it REALLY feel like a creepypasta it would need more hyperrealistic eyes though lol)

It’s definitely a reference. When he was younger he used to draw Jetsons and Flintstones all the time. He hated working at Hanna Barbera but he still enjoyed their early work.
When Ren hears that his cousin Svën is coming over, he remembers him being smart, but when Svën arrives, he acts more like Stimpy, which puts Ren at his highest anger level after they accidentally destroy his prized possessions.
