This vid works so well with the new couch/sofa/chaise bought recently and every scene was like arm chair travel in great comfort. Bali has changed quite a lot with many smart shops that can give Korea cafes and Thai retail shops and spas a run for the money. Of course, the streets remain more or less the same just as the paddy fields and forest cliffs of Ubud. The last memory of Bali was catching the one and only public bus ride from Ubud to the airport. Great scenes and fun along the almost 1 hour and 30 mins ride. Great editing and filming. Happy Birthday Sam.

This has got to be the best holiday video I have ever seen by a UA-cam blogger. I went to Bali in 1983 with my school friends and what I remember ever since is very different. I see Bali has come very long way now. I really want to holiday there now and it's close since I live in Perth Australia 😂.

you guys should come visit Lombok island, its actually side by side with Bali island. very peaceful, tons of beautiful landscape views, from the great mt. rinjani to the crystal blue water of gili islands. there are 3 gilis and no vehicle allowed except either bike or a traditional transportation such as dokar bc you need to take 10-15 minutes by boat from the main island wich is lombok, alsoo lot of great airbnb too especially in gili trawangan. if by any chance you guys see this, i would highly recommend to come visit there, heres some places : kuta beach in mandalika, sembalun village near mt rinjani (crazy view there, easy acces across the mountain and jungle better be arrived at morning or noon, theres also nice airbnb too), next is senggigi (so many hotels, resorts, cafes, bars and all that right next to the beach), desa sade, lombok exotic for shopping, andd a must to visit are gili islands (gili air, gili meno and gili trawangan) going snorkling or diving there wass gorgeous, i think gili trawangan has the most tourist also bc more airbnb, cafes and restos there. HIGHLY RECOMMENDD IT WOULD BE GREAT EXPERIENCE AND VLOG TOO HAHA :) ps. your vlogs are a blessing

I laughed out loud at the text informing me that a 'beach'n'sun' holiday was Victor's worst nightmare. I'm sure thousands of viewers could relate to that (my husband has limited tolerance for that sort of thing too). I'm always interested in knowing what kind of travel experiences strangers are most excited or relaxed by. Here in the UK, so many people don't see it as 'travelling', y'know, getting a cultural experience. They really do see it as a holiday-- just a fun holiday from their demanding working life and therefore are happy to go to all the usual destinations working class people in the UK enjoy. Now THOSE destinations are my husband and my 'worst nightmare' but each to their own. You'd have to pay me to go to those places. Thank you for showing me that gorgeous villa hotel (Kamandalu Ubud). The light you waited for before filming was just spectacular. What an atmosphere...just stunning. Thanks guys! I went and investigated their website and made notes right after watching this. And good on ya Victor for letting Sam enjoy her poolside fries and relaxation soon as you realised you were getting irritable and bored, what a good sport! Balancing the moods, tastes and temperaments of travelling companions is a delicate operation isn't it? Videos about this are so rarely made for some reason but it's an unspoken critical part of a travel experience's success.

Hi, stumbled upon your channel a couple months ago on my youtube homepage suddenly, and then a few weeks later this vlog is out. I'm not living in Bali but Bali is pretty much my second home and the places you visit are pretty much local, next time if you're staying in potato head there's a restaurant called Biku is located a few steps away from potato head gate, I don't know whether you've been there before or not. However, even though the food game is not 100% strong there are several menus worth trying, but the must-try is their pavlova, maybe you can consider it for the next trip to Bali. I'm super happy watching your vlog btw xx
