@@zbigniewiksinski he said its his game of the decade... guess what, its mine too and i can say that after only 25 hours in the game because of the way it makes me feel, i have not enjoyed a game so much since i was 13 playing shenmue on its release day for the sega dreamcast... nothing since that day has made me feel so good playing it, until now. game of the decade for me.
Regarding the inventory, I’ve found that if you simply pick up “Backpacks” vs looting them, you can simply save excess stuff in your inventory. You save stuff inside of a Backpacks, inside your inventory. That goes a massive long way to scrape clean your inventory. Then have your strongest character carry most that stuff so not encumbered. I literally ran the Trader out of money with so much stuff to trade that I had picked up stored in a backpack inside inventory. That’s a backpack separate to the default one you get for each character holding camp supplies.
Even better.. maybe at camp you find say a scroll case that looks distinct from the other containers so I can put my scrolls inside, they already did that for keys, etc, they can also do that for potion belts, scroll cases, quivers, etc
You know, once every 10 years or so there's a game that shake the trees. I was blown away by The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt, a game that introduced me to the open world RPG genre. Now 8 years later I discover Baldur's Gate 3 and my first D&D experience. I'm like 40 hours into the game and I guess close to the end of the first chapter (yes, there's quite a steep learning curve for a novice like myself) but what a blast this is! Everything in this game is TOP-NOTCH: the voice acting, the narrative, the graphics, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the cutscenes, the possibilities... and so on. Just wooooow!!! All my respect for the people (I should call them artists) who made this. Larian Studios from Belgium, hail to you. Thank you.
So the basically game just released and you're 40 hours deep into it. Wow, some people truly have too much free time. When I was a teenager, I played L4D2 all the time, and continued playing it occasionally over a period of 14 years, even sometimes as an adult. I have 200 hours into that game, which is my most played, and it feels like it was a lot of playtime over 13 years.
This is not baldurs gate 3. It's divinity original sin 2.5 masked as baldurs gate 3 for sales. That being said this is the best yr of gaming of all time. There has never been a yr of gaming with this many excellent titles released. We still have spiderman 3 to release and I haven't even got a chance to start god of war ragnorak yet
@@emetsalt2678its a masterpiece you dumbo. So try harder with the coping. Im still buying it because i loved divinity original sin 2. Even though its in dnd it's got more in common gameplay wise with divinity original sin. The game doesn't even have alignments lmao 🤦♂️
@@1doobiedoo I wouldn’t say that. It also has the luxury of learning from games like W3. And ER is basically a totally different genre while still being an RPG. Just like how people are praising BG3 for how side characters pop up as the story progresses and live their lives? ER does the same thing just with it’s signature creepiness. We shouldn’t put down those just because this game is also amazing. It will for sure be on that level though, the S class of games.
Almost 17 hours in and still have yet to hit the Goblin camp in Act 1. There's already so many choices I've missed and mistakes I've made, that makes me want to immediately replay it right when I'm done. Also need to do a run through with each origin character. Easily a 1k+ hour game. Game of the century, it's a remarkable work of art.
Men... Im 40 hours and just at the very gates of Baldurs Gates. Take it slow, enjoy... but dont get too lost in the game or you will never finish it xD
This is by far the best game of 2023. Not just best role playing game, but overall game of the year material, the amount of freedom and entertainment this game offer is amazing. Larian studios really outdid themselves from divinity 2 to this now! What a journey to see this small studio grown to what it is today
This game is INSANE. They combined all the best elements from some of the top RPG games and it’s just outstanding. Combat is a cross between Divinity original sin 2 and dragon age. The story has elements of the Witcher. The boss selection and design has elements from Wow. This was my experience. Top top top tier.

"Wyll" is pronounced as "Will". There's even a discussion in game between him and Shadowheart about why it's spelled like that. Love this game - good review!
Well deserved! A lot of games released in the past years shows how much compromises and limited gaming can be, larian studios proves the exact opposite with the right people helming the development and passionate developers games can be unforgettable experiences, no wonder why many triple A devs feel threatened by this game and the ambition of Larian studios.

This gives me the same feeling as when Skyrim was brand new and all the hype. Baldurs Gate 3 is that once in a decade masterpiece that will continue to have mods made for it on Steam in 2033. Developer should absolutely be rewarded for this incredible achievement. It's set a new bar for RPG games that other devs can strive for.
The fact that this is in the top 10 (all time) record already for concurrent players on steam should be a testament of how well they did and what gamers want.
This game is so good, its genre defining. Larian studios managed to create a RPG so reactive and infinitly replayable, it's honestly baffling. Do yourself a favor, play this game but be warned, you may never play another.
Ugh, I had to stop this review and I don't normally comment on stuff like this because I appreciate the time and effort that goes into a review Ike this but if your not going to show just Act 1 footage or canned stuff from trailers, please preface it with a warning and tell the listeners there may be minor spoilers. The first 30secs ruined the "who is saving us" reveal, for what, just to show how much the reviewer completed? Then to call Wyll a Wizard... I had to stop (but I didn't thumbs down, just be more cognizant).
I usually hate turn based games and I’m still having fun. Biggest issue I have is the entire spell slot/long rest system. Makes me never want to use my spells when I know I’m going to have to long rest before I can use them again in any combat, even when they could really come in handy. I would rather have a mana or per-battle spell use system than one which carries over between battles.
I always preferred slots to manage personally. When I have a mana system I always just spam my most powerful spells over and over. But slots make me use more variety for different situations.
@@kylehalpern6695 in what way? Like using your spell level 1’s vs 2’s? Because I still feel like I’m using the same spells in most situations based on whether I need AOE, single target, or crowd control outside of a very few niche situations
I mean, being D&D, of course it's going to use spell slots, that's the entire point. If they changed that system it wouldn't be D&D. Use a mod if you want, but it's strange to complain about a system set in place before I was even born.
This is why Cantrip spells are important too. So you can cast them unlimited times. Although one of the melee classes like "Fighter" will probably be more beginner friendly since you won't have to worry about spell slots and gain strong skills back after a short rest. Although there is MANY camp supplies for you to be able to take Long rests anytime you want for Magic slots. Once you get past Level 5, it becomes much easier to manage if you're a spellcaster
Alright, folks, pull up a chair and gather 'round, because we're diving into the pixelated brilliance of Baldur's Gate 3 - a game so enchanting, I forgot I had a real life. Remember when we thought sliced bread was the best thing since... well, ever? Move over bread, there’s a new game in town, and it's not just your regular run-of-the-mill escapade - it’s Baldur's Gate 3. From the moment the game loads, it's evident: my social life was about to take a severe hit. The graphics? Crispier than my grandma's fried chicken. The story? More compelling than my aunt's tea-time gossip. And the gameplay? Smoother than that questionable pickup line from the guy at the bar last weekend. Larian Studios clearly sold their collective souls to some mystical entity (or maybe just a Beholder) to produce a game this rich. Every character seems alive with their quirks and unique dialogues, and if you haven't tried voicing them out loud in your best dramatic overtones, are you even playing it right? Every decision I made in Baldur's Gate 3 felt weighty, and trust me, choosing where to brunch on a Sunday has never been this difficult. Whether I was scaling treacherous terrains, forging alliances, or just making a tadpole-induced friend (no spoilers!), every moment was an adventure, a challenge, and a chuckle. Speaking of humor, the game's wit is sharper than a rogue's blade. It never misses an opportunity to offer a sly nudge or wink, reminding you that even in the direst of circumstances, there's always room for a chuckle. In conclusion, Baldur's Gate 3 didn’t just raise the bar; it launched it into another dimension. If this game were a dessert, it’d be a seven-layer cake, with each layer more delicious than the last. So, do yourself a favor: dive into the world of Baldur’s Gate, but maybe warn your loved ones first - they may not see you for a while. A game? More like a lifestyle.
See, it used to be an understood thing that games of this scale & ambition would have bugs, but as long as it was fun we accepted it. But lately, I've been hearing act like these games are unplayable, broken messes. Especially when it comes to Bethesda & the talk around Starfield... I've encountered quite a few bugs in BG3 already, especially in combat. Also, there are times when the game just starts having huge performance issues, and changing settings doesnt help. I was getting drops down to 27 fps in the Tiefling/Druid outpost, having to restart the game a couple times. I tried turning on DLSS Performance, but that didn't change anything. Thankfully, it bumped back up to the 50-60 range after restarts, but I'm worried people will act like the game is unplayable or something because of these issues. I'm just glad it autosaves a lot. Combat, especially when there are multiple tiers of elevation + multiple rooms, can lead to all kinds of jank. It's still so fun though that I don't mind.
It's likely your PC unless youre using some crazy build. The game is VERY demanding. Although this is definitely a case by case basis. The game runs with zero slowdowns on my PC on ultra, but also have a friend running the game on ultra on a pretty bad PC and only occasionally has issues. Bugs are definitely a thing, though.
@@packerfanatic89 Nice, I don't think my laptop can handle the game...I'm more of a console gamer.. Just one more month to get ...Hope August goes fast.
The game also really needs an encyclopedia and class progression tables. It's a hassle to have to look that up on my phone or alt tab out to a browser. Other recent CRPG's like Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Pillars of Eternity 2 have very good encyclopedias and in game references that help you with character builds and planning things out.
I've never really seen the need in BG3 since you can just respec your character entirely whenever you want. That's for the builds, st least. The encyclopedia for other things would be nice.
I think that was a choice to encourage role playing over min/maxing (which is not necessary even at tactician difficulty) and to not scare players unfamiliar with the system with an insane amount of information.
My only concern about this game is that my social life is over... Yesterday, sunday, I've just started to play after lunch to relax a little. 1 a.m. I've turned of my computer... 😮

Tbh I love this game but people are definitely lying about it in order to try and make it seem like more than it is. The “17000 endings” thing turned out to be nonsense as even Larian confirmed there’s really a handful, and the other thousands are just variations of having blue eyes or red eyes with blond hair or blue hair with white eyes. It’s just random pointless variations that don’t actually change anything. Also, as much as I love the storyline and cinematics, they are average quality. The mouth movements would be mocked incessantly if it were made by any other studio.
@@danielkilgore8654 Aerie?, you mean the whining wingless elf that I always kill during my playthoughs cause she's too annoying? She's not canon dude. As well as Anomen, Valygar, Haerdalis, Keldorn, Nalia...etc. Canon NPC's/companions are : Minsc and Boo, Jaheira, Khalid (he's dead though), Imoen and Sarevok (he can become a companion in throne of Bhaal, and can even switch his alignment to chaotic good). Not sure about Viconia though. I may miss one or two also.
@@TheH8redd The measure of a work of fiction is not and never has been canon; it is how well it entertains and rings true to overarching themes related to the broader work. If you killed Aerie, you missed out on a wonderful story of character growth and healing after trauma, to say nothing of how she is the most powerful NPC in the game with the right spells to turn her into a melee machine.
@@danielkilgore8654 Im sorry to disappoint you, but canon is real, wether you like it or not. The way each of us play the game will be very different and each of us will have a different narrative. That being said, you can't expect to have all the possibilities included for you own fantasy. Canon is there to make a logical continuation of the story and narrative. Im sorry that you can't understand that. Like the Tokien universe, The rings of power don't even follow what has been written by the author, what is canon. So, don't come up to me to say that canon doesn't exist. It is there to make sure that if any sequel to these stories are written/created, they need a single point of reference for the story to make sense. Make sense?
@@TheH8redd Never said it didn't exist. I said it's not a way to measure a creative work. The world of comic books has periodically tried to force canon with events like the Crisis of infinite earths. And all comic books fans get are absurd situations that stressed the limits of believability and investment in the story for the sake of a single timeline. Stories are best when they entertain well. Look at Superman: Red Son. It's a great story, and at its core doesn't need a canonical handwave of like "it's on Earth-616" to be entertaining and tell us something about Superman as a character or to allow us to appreciate all other Superman stories.
I have not been this exited for a game since the original Baldur's Gate. The game delivers in every way, just like the original. There is so much thought and creativity going into this game, that I have a permanent smile on my face after having played just 20 hours (including five times of the intro with different characters). If this be the future of gaming, then there is hope for us all.
This game is incredible in the storytelling and freedom it affords you in that story. It really feels like a living world where you can play any way you want. Be a good guy and save people. Be bad guy and rob them. It's up to you. The game reacts to your choices in a logical way. Some companions may hate your choices and leave the party or even attack you. But its really only the origin characters that react to events. Its also possible to get hirelings that just follow any orders without judgment or complaint. I have been getting crashes which is unfortunate but I'm still loving the game in spite of the occasional issues. Best rpg game in years.
Starfield got a BEAST to contend with for GOTY. I just hope it lives up to at least 70% of the hype that BG3 made, because BG3 is an easy 9 or 10 they nailed pretty much everything with minimal bug issues. Gameplay, Story, Graphics, everything is GREAT. AND the fact that it's a COMPLETED game unlike many games that want you to pay for other features even if they're just cosmetic. I LOVE Swen and Larian Studios!

Agreed. I've been gaming since 1997 across all platforms and this year has been a year of personal discovery. Introduced myself to ARPG games with Diablo 4 and now trying out Baldur's Gate 3. RPG games being my favourite genre, I'm taking my sweet time with it. Every minute is exquisite.
And I was already super impressed with DOS 2's writing, and that game had Chris Avellone behind it. BG3's writing is a full league above DOS 2. I love Larian haha
Bro what...? I'm convinced people either A. Haven't finished the game. Or B. Are very lenient with character writing and plot. The game is fun. But the writing is definitely a weak point. As par for Larian, unfortunately.
I'm only 20 hours in and I can already tell this is the best made story of any game I've played since Witcher 3 and RDR2. VERY excited for the Game Awards this year, it's gonna be a brawl for GoTY between BG3 and Starfield (if Bethesda sticks the landing)

But the more involved ones felt like a minority I felt the combat was shallow I just mashed attack and dodge and got through the game spamming. Countering was kind of unnecessary and was never needed. I never used the potions or needed them the game was to easy and most beyond heal were useless. I thought the story was really basic. It's basically a Mario plot with extra steps. Gerald travels from place to place to find ciri and she is on the run. And we are always just about late then we fight the wild hunt. This last month waiting for the PS5 release feels like ages. I am so hyped for this game and since the official PC release and all the reviews it’s only adding up to the hype. I love RPG’s and wanted to play D&D for like 10 years now but I’m not in the fortunate position to be able to play D&D, so Baldur’s Gate 3 is really high on my list and hearing all those “It really is like playing D&D” adds to the excitement a lot
As long time player of D&D CRPGS and DM in Forgotten Realms campaigns, I can say this game is pretty and is the best implementation of a D&D ruleset in a CRPG to date. What it is not though, is a bar raiser for D&D CRPG's. That bar was set by the Madk of the Betrayer expansion for NWN2. And here's why Larian's beautiful game didn't make it: The character backstories, though compelling, are all high level ones that the plot armour (the Netherese Shadow magic infused tadpole negates. I guess it also negates that ceremorphosis does not work on dwarves whatsoever and not as intended on small sized races. Mechanically speaking, the number of redundant rolls (DC5 and under) is immersion breaking. If the objective was to emulate the tabletop experience; rolling a DC5 test isn't it. Dice roll animation considered, it's literally a waste of the player's time. The subclass options are underdeveloped. In fact two of the subclasses (eldritch knight and arcane trickster) are worse than just multiclassing. Where's swashbuckler? Bladesinger? Hexblade (which they half assedly did through adding class features to pact of the blade.) Larian chose reactivity over diversity, and in so they made their game extraordinarily difficult to add new content. The lack of face models shows in their cinematics and you see repeats before you even leave the Grove. Is it a must play D&D CRPG? Yes, I rather enjoy this game, but it's no bar raiser, it's not even best in class, sadly.
One thing is that Larian need 6 years for that masterpiece and Blizzard Entertainment which is more experienced in industry need 10 years for Diablo 4…and after they shouting at Larian that BG3 will not be considered as AAA game because it’s out of game frames…😵
One huge flaw with this game: the character design is so derivative and bad. Everyone looks chiseled and attractive, the armor looks like it came from every fantasy videogame of the last ten years, just very samey and uninspired designs
@@kreepyguy8489Do you think this would be harder to do than Divinity Original Sin? They did a great job with those ones, even managed to bring the second game to Switch
I can't wait for this to come out on PS5. I'm currently on my second run through of Larian's DOS2 on the playstation and there's no issues on the controller
Also, this time Gale stays stuck inside the sigil, you have to approach it and take him literally out of it. (There's also another funny choice, for the dark urge, I was laughing for 4 mn straight)
I’m constantly overwhelmed by this game, and it’s overwhelming in a good way. The choices and the characters… it’s all so excellent. I just want to keep exploring everything it has to offer
Just now my Gith paladin of vengeance threw the Hag into the ground/cavern HARD, and killed it in 1 hit, giving the inspiration, "killed a powerful adversary in 1 hit." Also, I wish Larian went with an inventory system more akin to DOS 2
Finally started playing Baldur’s Gate 3, it plays ostensibly identical to Divinity: Original Sin 2… but with a far worse combat system! I look forward to modders implementing DOS2 combat mechanics into this game.
Love the game, biggest disappointment to me was the character creator, its a modern day RPG all devs could learn something from the Skyrim/Fallout CBBE and Fusion Girl creators for character creation. Personally I don't care for "body types" I want to create my own "body type", I am not to keen on there "body type" system, same with the preset faces and heads without the ability or option to change their face appearance.. There are many games and mods out there they could have gotten inspiration from for character creation. What few sliders you get in character creation is lackluster at best. The character creation was very disappointing considering how long it was in development, other than that I haven't had any issues with FPS drops on max with nvidia DLSS support or any bugged quest (yet) I can't finish, however some dialog seems the timers are off, they will cut off the actors before the end of what they have to say. All in all its a beautiful game, enjoy playing it and its a fun story. In mine when the Wyll cutscene with the devil played seems like some mesh was forgotten, his hands are visible but his arms are invisible when in camp cloths and Shadowheart seems to drop spells and replace with one she wants on occasion when I am 100% certain the spell that pops in the quick bar was not one I had picked for her to have prepared. I haven't come across anything game breaking.
@@simonkapadia7582 I have seen clipping regardless, there are other titles out there with cinematics with no issues with this. The body mods and outfits when built properly in body slide and outfit studio in Fallout 4 for example have no issues with the cinematics from the Vanilla game or cinematics from mods such as Sim Settlements 2 except for the ended of the vanilla story cinematic, it is hard coded to use vanilla Nate and Nora so the body mods don't work with the ending cinematic. The ability to have options and sliders of some sort to adjust them should not have anything to do with camera angles in the cinematics. There are many games out there they could have pulled inspiration from to separate the two if that is the case.
The game had a fully developed character creator with sliders. SJWs got triggered that everyone made pretty girls and manly guys. Now they delivered these limited androgynous faces. A boob slider is problematic, but dicks on chicks is brave and progressive. Fuck off.
So funny how the thread on twitter backfired on these big studios. They did the marketing for their biggest competitor and now everybody remembers again what a real game look and feels like😂 Yes Larian. You did raise the bar. Maybe not for a small indie studio. But you sure did for the money hungry triple A studio’s.
Great game so far. Watching others play, seems like they are rushing to the end in comparison to my gameplay. I haven't even finished the EA content yet.
the camp interractions are everything, i rarely tear up or feel giddy when i play games, i pretty much feel dead inside but this game lights up my joy for games again. i also LOVE that every character is romanceable and dont care for your gender.
@@bombyo3634 i dont care for realism in terms of romance i make up my own story in my head as to the reasons for their sexual inclination. In one playtrough i imagine one thing and the next another. This is a fantasy world its not real life... Its made so you can escape.
@@bombyo3634 to each their own. I prefer that over dragon age 2 where you couldn't romance characters if you had a certain sex. In a game like the Witcher 3 where the character is defined sure. But in a universe like baldur gate where you really want to immerse your character and tailor his background its nice that the character you meet can support whatever fiction you imagine for your character, wether hes evil or good or gay or straigth or bi. Maybe you want to imagine that hes so charismatic that he makes them want to explore stuff. I mean my guy is a magic bard, im sure he could charm a frog if hed want. And Hell.im gay, but if angelina jolie shows up at my door step i migth want to explore.
I used to hate turnbased combat, I never touched a game with that in 47 years. Well until now. And I'm not only loving it, it took my heart by storm and is my new no. 1 game of all time. It put Witchter 3 on 2 and GTA SA on 3. Larian wrote history with this masterpiece. It's not only GOTY, that's easy - nah it's the game of the decade!
First playthrough took 180 hours.Had to change to "easy" half way into Act 3 as difficulty spiked absurdly - and even that was too difficult (yes... I played BG1 and 2, mostly on hard. Hell, I even bought my first gaming PC to play BG1 back in 1999). Some of the later fights are really badly designed for immersive play and require preplanning which implies foreknowledge the character would not have. This is a big "no" for me. The story itself, the graphics... everything else is awesome. It sucks you in and keeps you there. It's just the damn combat that railroads you into save spamming, min maxing and "builds", which kills the RP immersion that the game otherwise delivers in shiploads. Most games you are OP towards the end. BG3 is the other way round.
I trust the reviewers.. I don't doubt this is a great game. Still, I don't think I'll get it for 3 main reasons: - It is massive and complex - which can be a good thing if I like everything about the game.. - The dice - I really don't like the dice roll mechanic. I don't mind it being behind the scenes but I don't need to see the dice roll. It breaks immersion. - Turn based combat. I just don't like it. It's OK for strategy but in combat I find it very off-putting. Despite that it seems good enough that I am wavering.
BG2 is my fav game ever and im surprised how good this is, to me is hard surpasses bg2 maybe because some nostalgia but im pretty sure and after 50 hours in this game, this game is very good, since pathfinder im not play a game hours without stop, the best thing is the charecters all amazing, the worst(to me) is the limitation to 4 members in your party, great great game

Only think I would love to add on this is - let me name the backpacks. And I'm golden.
Even better.. maybe at camp you find say a scroll case that looks distinct from the other containers so I can put my scrolls inside, they already did that for keys, etc, they can also do that for potion belts, scroll cases, quivers, etc
I find it amusing how using backpacks to organize inventory has been a thing since at least Castle of the Winds, if not even earlier
Simply.

I played the dark alliance games as a kid so I was properly hyped.
I hate that too, luckily there's mod for that, the mod is action resource refresh after combat
Please Larian. Dont let anyone steer you off the path like what happened to CD projekt Red
Idk it looks kind of boring and tedious to me, I can't stand top down turn based RPGs

I didn’t enjoy divinity original sin 2 but I’m having a blast with this game !
Give it a try. You can do anything so your “playstyle” is in there…
Enjoying the beautiful irony of conspicuously mispronouncing conspicuous at 4:00
This game is taking over my life. I need to slow down haha.
A worthy successor to the first two Baldurs Gate games, which is very high praise.
Man I’m 30 hours in …. This game is absolutely amazing man I can’t stop playing
Ahahah 30 min. What a clown
There is a bug I found, open up the trade menu and accidentally put the things you want to sell in the merchants side and now it counts as you having to buy your own items lol
You should be able to just cancel out of the trade no?
@@TheN9nth thats what I thought. I canceled and my plate mail and enchanted sword was no longer in my inventory but the merchants lmao.
@@RyeRye656 Oh that is weird, thanks for the heads up! At the very least, the best way to gain reputation with traders (and get better deals) is to give them free stuff so that's one way I guess lmao
Between companies like larian and fromsoft, video games will be fun again
As long time player of D&D CRPGS and DM in Forgotten Realms campaigns, I can say this game is pretty and is the best implementation of a D&D ruleset in a CRPG to date. What it is not though, is a bar raiser for D&D CRPG's. That bar was set by the Madk of the Betrayer expansion for NWN2. And here's why Larian's beautiful game didn't make it:
The character backstories, though compelling, are all high level ones that the plot armour (the Netherese Shadow magic infused tadpole negates.
D4 is a steaming pile of shit compared to baldurs gate 3
Great review! I'm trying to decide between BG3 or D4. Recommendations? I'm an Elder Scroll fan boy, but you know I need a refresher
Very different games but I like BG3 more.
It’s funny how a real game gets delivered and all the triple a companies go on the defensive 😂😂
snowflake generation going in full swing. same was on elden ring release
This feels like an alternate reality dragon age game if they stuck to the cprg elements on origins and expanded on their prior fantasy rpg history.
Man dungeons and dragons has been killing it the last few years.
Larian just rained fire
larian cast meteor shower and it shows :D
I'm not interested in this game but all the praise is making me want to try it
Same
Had no desire at all, but everyone is saying it's genuinely awesome
One huge flaw with this game: the character design is so derivative and bad. Everyone looks chiseled and attractive, the armor looks like it came from every fantasy videogame of the last ten years, just very samey and uninspired designs
How to: "Put Tripple A to shame" - In A Nutshell
Written by an Indie Company.
Put 60 hours into act 1 alone lol finally hit act 2 (not that I’m rushing at all)
Enjoying every minute of it.
Eagerly waiting for a console release.
I wish they would drop it early....
How are they going to map all the functions to a controller is my question.
@@kreepyguy8489Do you think this would be harder to do than Divinity Original Sin? They did a great job with those ones, even managed to bring the second game to Switch
@@kreepyguy8489Controller Support is already available on pc and it’s almost better than M&K
I can't wait for this to come out on PS5. I'm currently on my second run through of Larian's DOS2 on the playstation and there's no issues on the controller
I can't beleive I manage to skip oportunity to recruit Gale for some reaseon he did not apear where he is suppose to.
Happened to me with ShadowHeart, she was waiting near the Tiefling kids "vendors" (thanks Reddit, I was thinking something was broken with the game)
Thank you for not copping out like so many others and actually giving this game the 10 it deserves!!
I guess Goty already ! 🎉
its fantastic man. i love it, im not even halfway through and i already know i want more when i finish it. thank you larian, you're awesome.
To be alive for Witcher 3, Elden Ring, and now this. Truly monumental.
Truly alive
Yes nothing says living the life like being stuck behind a computer playing video games, truly monumental.
@@RE-nv4we is there a storytelling format you prefer? It’s all the same thing.
@@RE-nv4we to each their own, you wouldn't understand!
Finally started playing Baldur’s Gate 3, it plays ostensibly identical to Divinity: Original Sin 2… but with a far worse combat system! I look forward to modders implementing DOS2 combat mechanics into this game.
This game is pure amazing, haven't had an experience with a game like this since Elden ring
Soooo in like what less than a year? Make it sound like Elden Ring came out a decade ago.
I found out by accident if you choose the Rogue Thief subclass then become a mindflayer... you get 3 actions per turn.
Great game so far. Watching others play, seems like they are rushing to the end in comparison to my gameplay. I haven't even finished the EA content yet.
Take your sweet time, so am I. We won't ever experience this (whole) game for the first time ever again.
This is a truly unique experience!
Early access players already know what to do in act 1 so its a breeze for us. Dont rush. Play without watching spoilers. Its funner that way.
My character doesn't want more tadpoles, but he keeps giving them to Astarion, I hope I'm not doing something awful. lol
the camp interractions are everything, i rarely tear up or feel giddy when i play games, i pretty much feel dead inside but this game lights up my joy for games again. i also LOVE that every character is romanceable and dont care for your gender.
Thats extremely unrealistic. Most people care about Gender as it means something to them
@@bombyo3634 i dont care for realism in terms of romance i make up my own story in my head as to the reasons for their sexual inclination. In one playtrough i imagine one thing and the next another. This is a fantasy world its not real life... Its made so you can escape.
@@oliverjones2426 Most fantasies ive read or played care about Genders thats all im saying. Enjoy your game.
Conpishous you say …I think you meant conspicuous
It is interesting to see another masterpiece developed by an underdog game studio. Big ones can not make good games anymore
They still can. They just all start with the assumption of selling skins in a live service game rather than starting with "let's make a fun game".
I trust the reviewers.. I don't doubt this is a great game. Still, I don't think I'll get it for 3 main reasons:
- It is massive and complex - which can be a good thing if I like everything about the game..
I've thrown the goblin leader down a pit during the Fight. Then I proceeded to pepper him with arrows from above with him unable to Attack me. 😂
I gave it 10/10 as well.
BUY the game and support the devs, TRUST. ME. ON. THIS. Unless you have a dummy PC to risk.
Started yesterday, just straight up remade my dnd character with the dark one background
And we have our GOTY winner.
Now that Winnie-the-Pooh is in public domain.Larian should make a mature turn based rpg set in the hundred acre woods.Take the bear banging and turn it up to 11.
10 out of 10. Damn right.
I pretty made Sauron character. It is dark urge, he high elf and warlock. I manipulate and kill. This is first game when there is actually depth into evel character.
