      @samtavoosian3059 No sir it is actually more possible with options because they're extremely leveraged 500:1
      Options are very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. Their way more powerful than stocks. I have made over one thousand percent gain in one day.
      And I can average one hundred percent or more easily in a trade. But you can also clean an account out in one trade. Options are extremely leveraged and very powerful.
      They are way more potent than penny stocks. But you have to know what you're doing.

    • @samricher
      @samricher 11 місяців тому

      I agree with you. I trade spx options 0dte every single day. You are right about the potential. However in options at least you know your maximum loss and with what I trade it is not flying like penny stocks so you get that nice consistency plus good leverage. I still would say trading penny stocks has more advantages over options because of better risk to reward and massive moves and of course no theta decay. It all depends on what you prefer and what market you like to trade.

      As a profitable futures day trader I would say it does not make sense because you want to get good at trading base hits whilst not focusing on homeruns, and when the homerun shows up you will hit it anyways since you're capable of base-hits (you can't really know what will end up being a homerun and what will be a basehit... implying one know's before it happens is implying one knows where the market will go, which is a falsehood, since you can only have % probability/likelihood of direction), and this also protects you in a slow or indicisive market which can last for a long time at times... it also heavily depends on your risk management and overall strategy... if someone is profitable from trading fast moving aggressive moves with small size and huge risk margins, they may find it challenging to trade ordinary consolidation price action... in this sense, depending on the trader and strategy, I would say learning how to adapt is also important and learning to trade different setups also helps... but the most important part of it all is consistency... in everything... including adapting. If I have a larger drawdown or a bad week, I will size-down and aim for what seem to be homeruns but if I am doing good I will size up and aim for base-hits... this helps to ensure I don't give money back on my rougher times and make as much as possible on my better times... at the end of the year it all comes out to X result... if the market is showing you a ton of homeruns, hit homeruns, if the market is dead and has obvious base-hits, hit them instead... at the end of the day it's just a matter of managing Risk:Reward depending on what the market is doing at that given time... you get the idea... every single day is unique.

    • @poloska9471
      @poloska9471 9 місяців тому

      @@jackkellogg10 I think that's a solid way to put it... I'd also say "trust your edge and manage risk well = great success". When you know your edge works and your risk management strategy works, trusting the two allows you to have a lot more focus available for other things such as paying attention to your emotional/psychological whereabouts rather than the technicality of the trade itself, which becomes almost automatic or second nature... in this sense, practice makes perfect... - futures day trader
      As Jack said, trust in your own journey, compete against yourself, know your own path and walk it. For example, even if the market is doing something cool that makes me wish I were in a trade to capture it, I'm not going to trade it ig my edge didn't alert me to it because I just know it's not my thing... it could go to the moon without me and I wouldn't be in it because I know my setups, I know my self, I know when my intuition says "this is something" I always trust it, and when it says "looks cool but..." I just sit on my hands guiltlessly...

    • @Kalul0
      @Kalul0 Рік тому +1

      It's a psychological behavior that you gotta break. I used to have same issue. 2 things that can help is obviously just cutting losses quickly. Do it without remorse, and if after cutting the loss it goes back up again, stay okay with the result. Because most of the time it's either you close with a 5% loss to only see the stock go back up 25%, OR not closing your position and have a 35% loss for the day.
      You gotta break the pattern by either planning how much you're willing to lose or setting up automatic stop-loss and looking away. Until you have full control.
