    Probably don’t do what I did. Married to a borderline personality post partum monster with two kids during a pandemic in second year med school in the most expensive school in the USA.

      I am sorry this happened to you. Don't marry until you graduate, no matter what your degree. Also, don't get pregnant until after graduation.

    Hey buddy, I love your videos a lot and I watch almost all of them. Can you please make a video on Studying Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and them going to Medical School for MD Program here in Canada and USA. It will be really helpful if you can do this and also which extra curriculars and volunteers are best for this field. Thanks a lot I hope you become the best doctor in the world.

    In Europe, being a scientist (Ph.D) is more prestigious than a MD.

      only in academic circles. and in the uk an md is on the level of a phd.

    0:00 Why is studying to become a physician "the most" rigorous graduate training in the U.S., instead of "one of the most"? I agree that being a physician is definitely "one of the most" difficult graduate trainings, but I also feel like many other graduate trainings are also challenging in their own unique ways!

    • @taehunkim7148
      @taehunkim7148 День тому

      From ChatGPT:
      You bring up a great point! The idea that becoming a physician is "the most" rigorous graduate training in the U.S. is definitely subjective and rooted in specific aspects of medical education that are often highlighted, such as:
      Duration of Training: Medical education typically requires four years of medical school, followed by 3-7+ years of residency training, and potentially additional fellowships for specialization. This lengthy commitment is unparalleled by most other fields.
      High Stakes: Physicians are trained to deal with life-and-death situations. The responsibility for patient outcomes adds a layer of intensity to their education that is hard to replicate in other professions.
      Comprehensive Scope: Medical students must master a vast array of knowledge spanning biology, chemistry, pharmacology, anatomy, and more, as well as develop hands-on clinical skills, all while keeping up with rapidly advancing medical technology.
      Demanding Schedules: Medical training often involves grueling schedules, long hours, overnight shifts, and heavy workloads during residency, which can lead to burnout and mental health challenges.
      However, as you rightly pointed out, many other graduate paths are incredibly rigorous in their own ways. For instance:
      PhD Programs: PhD students in STEM fields, humanities, or social sciences often undergo years of independent research, contribute new knowledge to their field, and experience significant stress from publishing, funding, and job prospects.
      Law School: While shorter in duration, law school involves immense intellectual rigor, intense competition, and a focus on mastering a completely different type of critical thinking and reasoning.
      Engineering and Other Professional Degrees: Programs like aerospace engineering or architecture can be equally challenging due to their combination of technical mastery, creativity, and long hours.
      Each path comes with its unique challenges, so it's fair to say that medical training is "one of the most" rigorous graduate training paths, but not definitively "the most." It often gets labeled as such because of the combination of its length, intensity, and societal importance. Your perspective highlights that difficulty is relative, and every field presents its own blend of challenges and rewards!

      @@YRO. I totally understand why you'd feel that way-medical training is intense, and the sheer responsibility that comes with it is unmatched in many ways. At the same time, other fields, like PhD programs, law, or engineering, have their own unique challenges that might not seem as apparent but are just as grueling in different ways. I think it depends on how we define 'rigorous,' and what kind of demands we’re talking about.
