Thank God you didn't wreck, David. I know they wanted to try to get the show in but in the rain on clay, no go. Lucky no one got really hurt. Thanks for the insiders video. Nice to see You, Donny, and Brad all on the same page with the conditions. Keep digging DG, it ain't over til it's over!
Good luck for the points. But are you or Brad Sweet the real champions because Donny Schatz is the total money leader for all of the WOO drivers, especially with his victory at the Knoxville Nationals. Donny Schatz may not be winning points championships anymore but he still is the King of the Outlaws post Steve Kinser era.
I remember the wreck, that was a gnarly one. He did get away fairly easily he tumbled relatively gingerly (as gingerly as you can crash a race car at 100mph, that is)
Yeah Steve and Sammy were men and raced in any and every shit condition there was. There were no timeouts and debates on whats safe and whats not they raced and that was that
@@NathanM4A1 wrong and many track records are still held from that era. Sammy on the indy mile went 156mph in 22 seconds. Its odd how the cars have stayed the same but went up in horsepower over the years but it dont show in lap times
That was because it was raining fairly hard and water on a sealed over clay track is worse than trying to drive in the snow on factory summer tread tires. And he was just trying to get David to agree with him that the conditions weren't safe enough to continue. Evidently someone agreed that it was the track conditions that committed heavily to Marks' crash.
Love the Rawness of this video. Keep up the good work DG!
The track was definitely slick. I'm just glad Marks was only sore, not hurt.

R.I.P All*Stars. Thanks to Sweet.
I am not disputing that it may have been too wet to race. My issue is the title of this video. Ive seen more "heated convos" in rest homes.

Must have been about track conditions!
Hope all was okay in this.
Steve is sitting in his recliner saying, "If you boys knew what it was like to race on a bad track in a real sprint car you would retire....." 🤣
Yeah Steve and Sammy were men and raced in any and every shit condition there was. There were no timeouts and debates on whats safe and whats not they raced and that was that
@@AdamOutlaw87 I would hazard a guess that current day sprintcars go faster than they did when Steve and Sammy were in their prime.
@@NathanM4A1 yeah they do. The technology has amped up quite a bit since then. So the above comments are so irrelevant.
You MF would probably say the same thing for NFL players before CTE was known.

Sweet is a fiesty little guy 🤣
The little drivers have little man syndrome
He doesn’t have a soul.

@@DavidGravel just a heads up Danny Dietrich has been in training since the Williams grove incident. He’s ready to take on 2-3 people at once..

What was said
All I understood was Brad complaining about a greasy the track was. It was hard to run
