I went through 5 interviews with a company and did not get the job. Even though the owner liked me. It was this dry old hag that was intimidated by me who told him no. But it was the universe protecting me. Because 4 months later the pandemic hit and all office buildings shut down that company lost clients and contracts and had to lay off people. I instead was blessed with a 6 figure job in a industry that was hiring due to the pandemic. What’s meant for you is FOR YOU. TRUST the process. Good Luck to everyone and their interviews.
It is awesome to hear this. As a recent A&M graduate with a degree in Architecture, it has been insanely difficult to obtain employment. Specifically with this whole coronavirus going on. I've had a few interviews that seemed very promising but never went anywhere. I became a little discouraged for awhile, but I'm going to my second interview with a company that I'm really excited to work for, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Once January gets here there will be a boom in open requisitions. Just keep applying and interviewing. The position for you is opening up. The universe might be working to remove the current person in that role or working on hiring the manager who will need you on their team. Just keep moving forward. It’s only a matter of time. ✨💫☺️

Interviews are so stressful for me, especially when it goes past just one, which is very common nowadays. It's like, I can do the work and beyond, or at least figure it out and learn very quickly, but it's difficult for me to explain things and answer questions and 'sell' myself. I'd been having problems selling myself in interviews and I tend to be honest in my answers or say I dont know. What has helped me is answering with something I know that is related to the job description and adding to my story or changing it a bit even though it's not all true. I make it fit and positive. Hope this helps.
I had my second interview with my future manager’s boss about half an hour ago. I watched this video prior to the interview and also your another video for the first interview questions. I know if I hadn’t been so prepared and learned such great tips I wouldn’t have. I appreciate it so much! Specifically one tip is to view the second interview as the first. Richard, an excellent video! I would add that usually in the 1st interview you will be interviewed by HR professional (so the questions are more ''HR-related''), in the 2nd interview by the future supervisor/manager/ of the team/department/division. So the questions of 2nd round may be related with more in-depth questions (let's call them ''technical'' rather than ''HR-related'' ). Also the candidate shoudl check who is the interviewer (full name, job title) by searching through internet, LinkedIn, UA-cam etc so that he/she could be prepared more efficiently about that person (in order to address questions at the end)

My interviewer informed me that my chances for a second interview are very good, and I would hear from him before the end of the day. I had a 2nd interview for a project coordinator role. I prepared for both rounds from your videos. Top quality content! I wish I could tell the same as others, but unfortunately I didn't get the job. However, these were my first interviews in over a decade! Without these guides to boost my knowledge, technique and confidence, I would have failed miserably at my 1st interview. Then I had another job interview for a business support role where I was more prepared than my 3 interviewers. I wish they had at least searched the internet on "how to interview somebody". They clearly had no clue. The very same introduction of mine, and stories about strength/weaknesses/conflicts/difficult situations etc. now did not even resonate. I think it was a perfect case when *they* had no idea what/who they are looking for in the first place.
These are all really wonderful tips. I tend to get extremely nervous during interviews which doesn't help the longer you remain unemployed. I have a second interview later today. It's digital so the set up is a little different, but I don't doubt all these tips will be helpful. Thank you so much!

I was more qualified and scored higher on both interviews. I even have a family member that works there and he put in a good word. I’m a bit sour about it as you can imagine. So is he. Thank you for stating the second interview not meaning you got the job. In my early years I grew used to the second interview being the guarantee essentially. Growing up and getting the higher roles that was changed. I got brought back to reality really quick when I assumed I was good reaching the second interview. Treat each interview as your first! Do not become complacent!

Today I got my second interview and an hour before I watched this video. I prepared my questions, wrote down my strengths (and examples from my work to illustrate them, connected to the tasks). During the second interview, I got compliments from both the recruiter and the manager, and they said they were both really enthusiastic about looking forward to working with me, looking at my CV and the experience during the interview. This week I have another second interview lined-up, and I know exactly how to handle it and nail it haha. Thank you Richard for your tips and examples. 😀

I went through 5 interviews with a company and did not get the job. Even though the owner liked me. It was this dry old hag that was intimidated by me who told him no. But it was the universe protecting me. Because 4 months later the pandemic hit and all office buildings shut down that company lost clients and contracts and had to lay off people. I instead was blessed with a 6 figure job in a industry that was hiring due to the pandemic. What’s meant for you is FOR YOU.

It is awesome to hear this. As a recent A&M graduate with a degree in Architecture, it has been insanely difficult to obtain employment. Specifically with this whole coronavirus going on. I've had a few interviews that seemed very promising but never went anywhere. I became a little discouraged for awhile, but I'm going to my second interview with a company that I'm really excited to work for, but I don't want to get my hopes up. Once January gets here there will be a boom in open requisitions. Just keep applying and interviewing. The position for you is opening up. It's like, I can do the work and beyond, or at least figure it out and learn very quickly, but it's difficult for me to explain things and answer questions and 'sell' myself. I'd been having problems selling myself in interviews and I tend to be honest in my answers or say I dont know. What has helped me is answering with something I know that is related to the job description and adding to my story or changing it a bit even though it's not all true. I make it fit and positive. Richard, an excellent video! I would add that usually in the 1st interview you will be interviewed by HR professional (so the questions are more ''HR-related''), in the 2nd interview by the future supervisor/manager/ of the team/department/division. So the questions of 2nd round may be related with more in-depth questions (let's call them ''technical'' rather than ''HR-related'' ). Also the candidate shoudl check who is the interviewer (full name, job title) by searching through internet, LinkedIn, UA-cam etc so that he/she could be prepared more efficiently about that person (in order to address questions at the end)

I had a 2nd interview for a project coordinator role. I prepared for both rounds from your videos. Top quality content!
I wish I could tell the same as others, but unfortunately I didn't get the job. However, these were my first interviews in over a decade! Without these guides to boost my knowledge, technique and confidence, I would have failed miserably at my 1st interview.
Then I had another job interview for a business support role where I was more prepared than my 3 interviewers. I wish they had at least searched the internet on "how to interview somebody". They clearly had no clue. The very same introduction of mine, and stories about strength/weaknesses/conflicts/difficult situations etc. now did not even resonate. I think it was a perfect case when *they* had no idea what/who they are looking for in the first place.
These are all really wonderful tips. I tend to get extremely nervous during interviews which doesn't help the longer you remain unemployed. I have a second interview later today. It's digital so the set up is a little different, but I don't doubt all these tips will be helpful. Thank you so much!

I was more qualified and scored higher on both interviews. I even have a family member that works there and he put in a good word. I’m a bit sour about it as you can imagine. So is he. Thank you for stating the second interview not meaning you got the job. In my early years I grew used to the second interview being the guarantee essentially. Growing up and getting the higher roles that was changed. I got brought back to reality really quick when I assumed I was good reaching the second interview. Treat each interview as your first! Do not become complacent!

Today I got my second interview and an hour before I watched this video. I prepared my questions, wrote down my strengths (and examples from my work to illustrate them, connected to the tasks). During the second interview, I got compliments from both the recruiter and the manager, and they said they were both really enthusiastic about looking forward to working with me, looking at my CV and the experience during the interview.
This week I have another second interview lined-up, and I know exactly how to handle it and nail it haha. Thank you Richard for your tips and examples. 😀

Thank you for this video. It was very helpful. Unfortunately, this person who interviewd me said that I will get a 2nd interview, it turns out I won't. I haven't heard from this person in 2 weeks. But I wish this person would still let me know so I won't have to wait... I've learned my lesson, never wait beacuse it's a waste of time.
